That thing they're showing is some wannabe nonsense that wishes it was the iconic Marauder.
Is a god-forsaken monstrosity. It's a toy, it should have plastic mould-seams and "made in Taiwan" stamped underneath it's foot.
Warning; Contains small parts. Not suitable for children under 8 years old.
Nostalgia is often just that. The desire for things of the past. Not everything in the past was actually worth keeping. This pile-up is one of those things. (shudder)

B looks no different, besides the smaller exhaust ports, C looks derpy with that smashed in face and D...just doesnt go together...
If anything on that Marauder, it needs bigger paddle feet and not narrow claw feet. 4 toed, spade feet...

The similarity to the King Crab is probably intentional. So that they can claim it's in keeping with the style of their art. It wouldn't hurt to have another mech to point to and say "It looks more like this mech".

How about this comparison?
Thanks to Tennex for his superior photoshop skills on the arms.
The modified version pictured in the quoted post is quite-clearly too close to the Roiquonmi Glaug Battle Pod in appearance, and would only give HG some actual justification in bringing a case against PGI.
That PGI's take on the Marauder generally stays true to the spirit of the 'Mech without looking like a Glaug is a major part of the entire point of the redesign!

I don't see the shoulder guards as a big detail and probably won't even be that noticeable on the final mech.
The cockpit looks great in my opinion, as it doesn't restrict the view of the pilot like the original did.
The guns...I really don't see too big a deal over, specially since they will probably just end up using the Cataphract's current hands for it.

Im gonna vote for C. the smaller canopy helps make the rest of the mech look bigger. proper for a 75 tonner. the D's squint canopy version looks nicely protected but a Griffin cockpit is better then the Shadowhawk when you are the one that's driving.

Don't worry, once it goes to 3D modeling, it will be "normalized" and the size of a machine gun, and you don't even want to know what happens those PPC arms. (think ostcout)

Lets not make it worse by trying to get the art to be even MORE like the original.

Small cockpit doesnt even look like it makes sense, like where do we even sit in this thing? The art they have now atleast makes sense, in that were sitting further back, looking out the upper glass plate. That smashed in view, where do our legs even go!?
