I am not sure why LRM dedicated mechs like cataput,trebuchet,stalker,HBK-4J,Kintaros etc. have problem with aquiring targets at long range? That makes 0 sense...but it may be only me who like to play LRM mechs.

I am curios about the logic, if any, behind lowering sensor range for everything but lights.
If the time too kill is too short, this is like throwing a bucket or a blind fold over cockpits of the high damage potential mechs and hope people can't aim?

I guess we can all bow before pro-tier direct fire builds that will destroy CT of a mech just as fast with, less of a notification for who ever is on the receiving end.

I have noticed the same thing... very funny.
perhaps developer will give +100% LRM damage to balance out the negative quirk (^_^)

PGI - you guys better think long and hard about what you're doing. The quirk system might be unbalanced but it isn't broken. Just balance it properly. You guys are going to cop a LOT of criticism and probably requests for refunds for altering a core game mechanic after many people have paid real money to pick up certain chassis, based around the quirk system. I bought 3 hero mechs. 2 of them were recent purchases based on quirks and now you're doing this.

Pls reconsider before the rest of us do.

If there's any evidence that PGI needs someone on their team that actually plays against people on the internet on a consistent basis, this is it.

Example: The Stalker 4N is the LL meta build, so let's **** over the 5M. Wut. There's a whole bunch of stuff like this going on, which seems to indicate a detachment between the developers and actual gameplay.

Heck, we've got some people wandering around this forum who are coming close to supporting such an idea since "no-scope-leet-kill" snipers are such a core part of CoD and other 1st person shooters. Which is fine - if you want that crap, go play those games. MWO was supposed to be something different, not CoD in a mech skin.

But, hey - at least the LRM mechs got sensor penalties, so that makes sense?!

anyone else noticing that after sticking to their guns about pay2win for so long, they have finally flip-flopped, they are now buffing money only mechs (heroes) far more than the c-bill only options

Eh, a lot of hero 'mechs are worse than their non-hero counterparts, and and extra 10 or 20 structure isn't going to make them OP. After ordering the Jenner IIC package, I took my old X-5 out for a spin, and was impressed by how terrible it was. Granted, anything that goes more than 100 kph plays into my tendency to be way too aggressive...

I also respect the notion of removing weapon quirks, since theoretically less weapon quirks means more build diversity on any given variant. Still, small weapon quirks in the range of 5% or 10% might be nice, especially for some variants like the AWS-8Q.

Still, any 'mech that required large weapon buffs is going to need significant structure quirks. I do kind of like the +50 to structure I see on one of the Atlases.
