I'm not liking all of the Red I'm seeing.
It seems that every mech has negative quirks of some form or another. (Exception being Super TBR that FupDup's showing everyone).

I dunno. But, I can imagine, as a new player, this rash of negative effects a mech has is going to turn them off to the mech; and, once realized every mech has them, turn them off to the game.
When, you shop for a car, you look at the reviews about it- if you see a lot of red (even if they may or may not be valid), you're not going to buy that car.
Same for a mech. If I see a lot red at first glance, I'm moving on to the next one.

Let's have more buffs, less nerfs. If something is overly powerful, don't nerf it, just don't give it anything. The buffed stuff will compensate.

Green is GO.
Red is DEAD.

On this line, If you are going to nerf a majority of mechs in a very similar fashion, better off making the low end the baseline and let the buffs look extreme on the higher end of the stat, it will make the mechs that have them truly seem to specialize in whatever stat it is instead of just not sucking in it the way many others do.

I honestly think its not as bad as people are making it out to be.

The Timberwolf that FupDup is floating around is because the Timberwolf S CT seemed to have been passed over for the MASSIVE amount of negative quirks associated with the core CT. EVERY other Timberwolf does not do that, and secondly, Timberwolves actually have some nice buffs, but they seem to all be focused mostly on "ground bound" versions.

Both the high mounted A torso's and the jumping "S" torso's all have nothing but Nerfs going along with their torso's while every other T-wolf variant has positive traction.

It does seem like clan tech still needs MUCH better re-alignment then it currently has, but I hardly find it as bad as the Timberwolf image that's floating around.

[I believe] This topic is less about actual effect of nerfs/buffs and more about the perception associated with seeing a bunch of red quirks, especially for a new player that might not know better. Its better to excessively buff from a low baseline than it is to average then excessively nerf to get your below average stats: same results in the end but one is more visually/psychologically appealing.
