Stop being so toxic you Pos PGI tries so hard why can't you support them manThis is a perfect example why CSJ is a blemish to the MWO community

YEAH! You should listen to this guy. He's been on the forums since 2015 and knows everything that the community has been through for the past 3+ years.

Just checked the forums after several weeks and after a longer MWO break... Jsut to see these quirks on the PTR...

-> What the...? ..Why? What? Even thinking about such ....a construct... is .... well ********.

I really pity myself that i threw money at them lately by buying a IIC package.
I loved MWO for quite a long time, but ... well, i dunno, it is developing in a direction i don't want to follow, i think...

Actually Energy has been around quite awhile. He was trying to be sarcastic, he just failed miserably at it hehe.

Is he the one who called Hacks over an ammo explosion a few months back?

That was a good laugh.

I think the removal of weapon quirks for many IS chassis, especially the lowest tier, hurt them severely.

The negative quirks on top of that don't help

I 1v1'd that kid with a dragon slayer 1 year ago (months back?), and he got an ammo explosion kill.

I was smashing him easy, and got the one RNG hit. I've played heimdelight, celyth, l e 0 and some of the best players in the game 1v1 (they know the results). Of course you're going to run away after that if you're the inferior player.

Just a fun tidbit: I messaged him 1 month later, 3months later, 7 months later, on MWO client and on forums and he never wanted to do another 1v1 LOL...

No need to explain yourself bro. Anyone that plays this game anywhere near the top knows who you are and exactly what you are capable of.

Actually, many of us in the underhive who pay attention are in the know as well... Both ELO and PSR still pit us against the top tier players from time to time, though to be fair, I haven't seen e n e r g y in a match in a long, long time.

I guess no one here understands how testing works.

They removed the weapon quirks to remove as much "noise" as they could to see where it leaves the IS v IS, Clan V Clan, and IS v Clan balance before they reapply weapon quirks.

They're ripping out the old infotech system (a base part of the game) and all the layers added on top need to be removed as well to see how the new base part works.

Also, the removal of weapon quirks could mean they have actual weapon balance in the works and we can get rid of most of the quirks (read: weapon stat modifiers).

The game needs it.

Also, 3/4 of the quirks would be unnecessary if they would take the time to balance out their weapons some more.

When they remove all the weapon quirks and instead give entirely new ones, they aren't testing anything. LOLOLOLOLOL

Great so all the "data" they get during testing will be pointless when any other perks are incorporated back in. Literally testing nothing.

Have they really reduced the noise? It seems to me that if they wanted to reduce noise, they'd recruit the top players in each weight class to play in special servers with 'Mechs all using either IS gear or Clan gear, regardless of actual affiliation, so they can see where each 'Mech is actually weak in terms of hit-points and maneuverability, the only things they've changed right now that actually mean anything.

And, from the town hall, PGI implied that they got IS tech balanced with itself, I submit to be patently false. And correct me if I'm wrong, but they also said they weren't really going to be looking into weapons at this time anyway.

That would be ideal. But they really just need people to play it at this point.

If that's the case, then balance is boned.
