It seems most the QQ about the PTS has totally missed the mark. People were assuming it was the finished product, but from the sounds of it, this is only phase one of a big plan. Baby steps people! Cool your PPCs!

EDIT: Wow, ninja'd.

HOWEVER I still see threads saying the video missed something that Sean specifically mentioned wasn't in yet (Clan v IS balance). So mayhap my thread is still pertinent.

This information might have been helpful at the outset. Coming in the middle of the night on Sunday night it just reeks of c.y.a. damage control. Either way we weren't testing what we were told we were testing.

And it's from NGNG and not PGI directly, I have to agree with this.

I await w/e they do, but kinda fear its just gunna end up being a massive nerf the clans pass because like 3 of the clan mechs were really good. But at the end of the day, can only wait and see..

As for the HBR LT with the ECM and 3E, I could see it getting less structure and armor quirks maybe. I mean, it makes sense, if your going to pack in space for those guns and electronics, something is going to give, and that will mean less space and tonnage in that pod for armor. Since clan mechs are basically lego sets, that box of legos has more guns and electronics, but less space for armor.

Of course, when that also applies to the Warhawk's one DHS filled torso, that is going to suck. But meh, i guess it makes sense.

I haven't participated in the PTS, but I find it amazing that some people would assume that what they found there was the "finished product" considering how borked it was reported to be.

It's been said already but the big issue, the thing that caused all the outrage really, was the lack of proper communication from PGI. No communication......people start filling in the blanks and coming up with their own explanations.

STEP UP YOUR GAME PGI........before asking people to use the PTS explain what they will find and what you are trying to analyze.
