Do you guys ever saw this wiki?
Looks like you didnt.

The main weapon is ABOVE the head, not BESIDE!

Just jumping on the bandwagon....
...So, Rodo, do you feel like a moron yet or does someone else need to point out your idiocy?

Thank you PGI, and thank you even more when the other Unseen are among us. Screw HG and their copyrights, redesign it and get around them. YES! Definitely buying these.

You will notice gun mounted in CT but Crit hit table shows it in RT so no big deal.

This is why art is considered the lowest level of tabletop canon. Things are getting better, but all too often Rule of Cool trumps stats for 'Mech visuals.

lol because its a timber wolf im not saying that having a lot of arm weapons is bad it just isn't as tanky as taking torso weapons and if you ain't tanky you need to be quick. plus the marauder bh can only fit one decent weapon in those two spots wile the timber wolf can fit nearly anything with clan tech also the timber wolf rarely has so few non arm weapons in my experience. but again its not about the timber wolf its about comparing a hero mech to its standard variants.

Well to be honest- arms do not matter on most mechs in terms of durability because many do not aim for arms, they aim for CT and sometimes the ST... meaning it will be as durrable as the ST and the true durrable hardpoint locations is the CT and Head.
With that in mind- this would bake BH2 the most durrable one in terms of retaining weapons at lost of components due to the fact it has one that is not in the RA/ RT/ LT/ LA area.

Dunno if this has been asked before, sorry if it has - is the collector's edition worth getting? Paying twice as much for just one other variant and a bunch of other cockpit things seems a bit much. I mean sure, the pattern is shiny, but still

I guess that depends on how important the additional stuff ist for you. What you get is:
- additional MAD-3R with Cbill bonus
- + 30 premium time
- the cockpit items

If you don't care for having the 3R with CBill bonus because you prefer the 5D or 5M instead, and don't want the additional warhorns and stuff it's probably not worth it for you and if you want the additional premiumtime you are cheaper of with buying it extra. Altough since 30days premium will cost you 12$ you would only save 8$ for which you then would get all the extra stuff if you buy the whole package.

For myself I wanted to have the cbill-boost verion, the premium time and the extra warhorns (when they introduced them in Wave 1 I thought they are kinda silly, but I actually like them since I got some myself :) )so for me it's totally worth the money :D

While I'm very curious about this mech, it always reminds me on something, every gamer should never forget...

Recognized the "Classic IS Collection" next to the package name... Wonder what else they have in store... guess it´s gonna become expensive... Annihilator incoming? ^^

not necessarily true... most people just aim for what they can EASILY hit, in most cases thats the torsos... with a mech like like this, it might as well be the arms...but that has to be tested on the field...

the arms are not covering the ST from the sides thus wouldn't it make the ST a more valuable target and easier then say a mauler or centurions ST vs arm situation or the nova or mist lynx?

What about the Marauder II?
Surely that beast in 100 ton version with an armor like the Atlas cannot be ignored!

Nor the IIC can be ignored.

We need the three types of MAD!

That's what I thought :D Every third mech that I own is a hero since I bought a lot of mastery bundles and standalone heroes when they went on sale, so having another c-bill farmer isn't too high on my list of priorities. I'm going to (attempt to) wait a week and a half to see what else gets announced before the early adopter cut-off before I take a stab at it
EDIT: I was all set to commit to the collector's when I saw that it now counts towards the free Zeus, but then I realised that you have to have the collector's Urbie collection as well. So, back to square standard

as i said, we´ll have to test in on the field...the marauder naturely has a low and narrow profile of it´s torsos compared to other heavy/assault mechs, so might be that there is a 50/50 chance to either hit the torso or the arm from the side... we don´t know how it looks or plays out with the live model later... judging by the concept art, well, i dunno really...

Maybe you would have preffered the original "reseen" version instead wich can be found on the same page you just linked?

Personally I think the new version from PGI looks great. Yeah it is not the old Macross Marauder but that was to be expected and is just not possible. Not everybody has to like the new design of course, but the negativity here is sometimes really bad...

some people may jump to conclusions and call you out on it- but that badge is already insta proof you spend 580 dollars on the game which is nearly 7 times more then an average person spends on the game. (this is "at least" and not max)

If the Marauder IIC is out though- would you get it?
