Bingo, you guys that are buying the Marauder now, are pretty much getting PGI some headroom for legal fees if/when HarmonyGold pulls their usual crybaby fit and sends their lawyers knocking at PGI's doors.

I'm sitting this one out to see if they can actually get away with it, that and I'm more interested in the Warhammer than anything.

So if everything goes well, I'll be throwing down some cash later on the WH when I know its safe.

Even I, a doubtful fan of PGI, think that what you are saying is <AHEM> "Silly". Would it make you feel better if they produced a crappy, unpopular mech for sale? Probably not, you'd complain that it was crappy and unpopular.

So PGI finally grows a pair and releases the Marauder, one of a bunch of mechs that people have been asking about for literally years, and you get upset 'cus "it's a cash grab"?

IF they release it, and shut the doors......... you would be right.

As it stands, it's merely a product that the vendors feel will sell well, and with any luck it signals a change in their pricing model. Personally I'm more excited about the pricing scheme than the mech because it might mean that PGI found someone who explained that selling something cheaply can make more money through volume.

Catch up with th enews. They've already got away with it. Go look at the new products coming out from the CGL Classic Battletech Line. If CGL hadn't already licked the issue, we would NOT be seeing this.
