Can't really comment as all I get is network error occurred. Having NO problems with regular MWO. Though I had that problem a year ago with MWO and it just solved itself seemingly. This time it seems to persist for the test after 2 installs of the test. It happens with no other games. I hahve never had this problem with other games I play or any other online things I do. So yeah forgive me if I blame PGI and MWO test coding. Just saying. Yeah I checked my firewall. And yeah it is letting EVERYTHING get by except attacks and MWO test (just being sarcastic about the MWO test). Last time I reset my internet connection and it helped randomly part of the tieme yet the fix did not last so I had to keep resetting it for a week. About the time I was ready to permanently erase MWO from my system the problem, resolved itself. A lotta other ppl were experiencing it at that time judging by forums. So no haven't played one single test drop. If this were to start happening again with the normal play server I would likely give up on MWO. I have easily in the last 2 years spent over 300 dollars on this game which is more than some and not nearly as much as many. I have never spent so much on a game and had NEAR the connectivity problems I do with this game. Ever. Spent nearly 3 hours installing testing game. TWICE. That's total of six hours and REALLY don't feel like troubleshooting things to get it to work with no promise it will. I am on a months premium time. I think I will play that out on reg server then rethink spending further HARD EARNED dough on this game.
PGI... Get it together.

Network Error just means, that servers are down. Nothing more. You should first check if the news topic related to the PTS have been updated, because if it were it's most likely due to PGI taking servers off the line.

Just to make sure:
I use the Test Client I dowloaded for the Tutorial "Mechwarrior Academy" test.
I don´t need to download a new test client for this one, right?

The tutorial academy is over. And no you do not have to re-download. Perhaps a patch or so. But no the whole client.

They brought the server down.
...think I heard something about a nuclear explosion over random, weird, and nonsensical quirks like the SHC CTs.
Paul had to kick the door to the server closed to save all our lives.
Long live Paul.

Now if we could just get them to implement ct nuclear esk sexplosions ingame! (Only adding in for opinion, it would help all the death ball tactics, and promote smaller lance skirmishes. I mean really ur gonna stand on top of eachother when anyminute one of those mechs can go critical, and be like a friendly fire airstrike?)

I had same frustration with network error- looked at the PTS FAQ and instructions etc- no help there.
Tried turning off firewall, running admin privileges, changing hard drive permissions etc
Yup....seems the server was offline. Documentation re PTS has the wrong error message regarding this.
