I bought the hankyu pack before the Arctic cheetah was released for mc's and after looking around the forums I was under the impression that I would be able to buy the c variant omnipods without buying the chassis. Now that it's out I find I can't do that. I really don't want to spend $15 just to gain an energy hardpoint. Im not sure if it was meant to be this way or if they just havent added the ability for this chassis yet. Can anyone clear this up for me?

The pods will become available when the chassis is out for CB.

You can only have any part of the C variant now if you pre-ordered in the early adopter period and even then only one set. Frankly, it's pretty annoying to own four of them and not be able to properly customize all four too, but apparently PGI can't figure out how to make pods available to some players and not others.

You can only buy pods with cbills. If it's not out for cbills how does one purchase it?

If you bought it with mc that's different, you already own the whole mech, pods and all.

wait - you need at least 1 pod in your inventory to exchange stuff.
For example got 4 Cauldron Borns - but couldn't swap any omni pod because i had to buy one for C-Bills (before the Mech was available for C-Bills)

the problem afaik the Mech can not be stripped of omni pods

That was true for like two days when Wave I came out, you've been able to strip mechs of omnipods for a very long time.

Wrong, strip the omnipod from mech, put it on mech you want it on.

What is the problem? You can't buy pods from a mech for cbills, when that mech is not out for cbills.

If you want the C RT on a Prime, you'll need to own the C (whether from MC or pre-order), strip the C's RT, save mech, go to Prime and put the C RT on.
