"uberquirk plz!"
and then we wonder why the game needs a rebalance
why can't you make do with your mech like so many people who drive the old inner sphere mechs do and kill clanners with it?

It will be a Grasshopper without jumpjets and with more firepower.

And the Tutorial button is lit up so I guess we get some new neat stuff next patch. There's also a new button on the left bottom side. Anyone who's been on PTS know what that is?

crab doesn't look xl-friendly and... it's a 50 tonner
now, grasshopper is very slim, the height doesn't matter when you are slim
knight isn't slim...
being tall and slim don't mean anything when your ct is exposed from all angles because your head is nearly all ct and sticks out. the skinny side for the grass hopper was a nice advantage when you were flanking for about a month, now every one just aims high and take out your ct. black night looks like it might be a bit better.

except both those mechs need to be scaled down

IS heavies that are already proven to be good are the Jagermech for the high mounted hard points, the Orion or Cataphract for the tanky factor they have and the Thunderbolt since some of the variants has both of the previous Mechs.
For those who ask for a long range IS heavy Mech, the Catapult still does the job.
So no one can say that the similarities with the Grasshopper isn't there, already the Grasshopper is a rare sight and I expect no less from the Back Knight with those low hard points. If the V shape front armor was more accentuated in a 45 degrees pattern, already two energy hard points could be higher and even more than the Mechwarrior 4 version without being out of place.
I do have to say that Alex does a superb job with the art and the 3D guys do also work hard to bring those to a virtual life, but seems the team hardly play the game or have no clue what is going on in matches to place hard points so low.
Already the Mauler is just average ( quite squishy IMHO ) now the Black Knight with low weapons so last hope is the Crab and that Wolfhound.
I do once in a while support the game with real cash but I don't support Mech packs as most of the time the end product is not as hyped, be wary of that Marauder, only 2 weapons are high mounted. A mini King Crab is the Marauder.
Mauler kicks ass and I normally don't like assaults.

ENERGY RANGE 15%
ACCEL HIGH MED LOW 20%
DECEL HIGH MED LOW 20%
TORSO TWIST RATE 15%
That's what I'd like to see.
Too much?

HP in each case are slightly lower than the GH, but the whole mech is also shorter, and about equally wide. Looking at it, the GH has ridiculously short humerii.

So if the (rather cool looking) PPC mount in the right arm of the concept art turned out looking like this...

...Then what will happen to the long Autocannon barrel from the concept art for the Marauder? Will it turn into the normally diminutive AC/5 currently in the game as well?

I have NEVER asked for a refund in this game, but if the Marauder AC5 looks like that GODDAMN pellet gun that's attached to my Jagermechs, I will set Support on fire.

True, the final product rarely looks like the concept art recently, although PGI nailed all of the original mechs except for the Awesome (which should not be any larger than the Zeus, or vice versa), maybe they have lost too many of the original team (like the guy that was working on the Clan LBX toggle)?

People come and go, you have to accept it as fact of life. After all, they are likely to pursue something better.
If the actual model comes out good i have no issues even if it is different than the art. (disclaimer: beauty is in the eye of the beholden)

This Game is not perfect by any means to be sure. However the work that has been done has been excellent. BE GRATEFUL!!!
I understand that there are a lot of imperfections in MWO. But it has brought to life a game that I have dedicated over 20 years playing and reading the lore.
I look forward to the 22nd and I am sure that I will be pleased with what I get.
The Black Knight looks awesome in the instagram. I wanna know how it handles.
Thanks for listening and good Hunting on the battlefield.
