At some point give a 2xLL COM-1B a test drive. Cheap and can be built from spare parts, only bad things are the Upgrade Taxes and XL.

Lights and Honorary Lights (Cicadas and Ferrets) certainly can be fun to speed around in.

You know, i tried replicating the speed and weapon on lights and it just wasnt the same. I guess it has to do with it's own turning speed, torso twist and height that just connect with me. When i take a break and come back, i come back to the CDA first, because its comfortable and i know i can trust it lol. The X5 was my first Hero too, back when having IS streak was not only good but the norm.

Cicadas are awesome and fun mechs.

Always when I want to have some fun I ride with my Cicada or lolcusts. I am so hyped with 3F.

Another Cicada fan here, love that little mech.

And anyone who thinks it’s just a fat Jenner is wrong. Because I can take an identical Jenner and do terrible in it, over and over, yet still make the Cicadas work wonders. This was true before the Quirks entered the fray and after.

I admit, I’m terrified of the rebalance though, since it’s obvious each one is going to MOVE drastically different, which is going to make that feel for them a lot harder to do.

The Cicada was my first C-Bill 'Mech after the move to Open Beta reset everything and I still love them for the fast, nimble little hit-and-run beasts they are. The only 'Mechs I have more drops in are Centurions. As I also have a love of 'Mechs with jump jets I am looking forward to the 3F. I'll even buy back the B just to master the B.

Generally don't care for the chassis but I did score a coup de grace on beef last night while basicing a 3c in preparation. That's gotta be worth something.

Also, it was really odd but when I went to sell it stripped out I got back 3.1 million. Can't complain about that one

Try 4ML, 2SRM4. Better convergence and spread on the SRM.

Also, 3ML, 1LPL seems underpowered but pokes very well at 400m.

2LPL is also lols.

I think Cicadas were my third chassis that I purchased after Stalkers and Jenners in open beta, and they're as much fun to pilot now as they were then.

Originally I only had the 3M and 3C, but with the hero sale and the Dynamic hard points added I decided to throw some cash at the game and get the X-5.

This mech is so much fun to pilot, and they look awesome to boot.

The YouTube series "All Systems Nominal" also gave them an awesome backstory and lovable *chirrup* sound and arm wiggle that I imagine my 3C doing before every battle.

They also have one of the best cockpits in the game for triple monitor displays.

bought the cicada pack 5 months ago and fell in love with the 3M. when the enemy can't see your paper doll you live a LOT longer than with a non-ECM mech haha.



every single match was with this LPL build. but boy was i PISSED when they ruined the high energy mounts with the dynamic weapons and havn't played it so much since. i don't think anything has ever enraged me so much in MWO in the 2.5 years i'v played

Yeah, the asymetrical mounts really irk me. It would annoy me less if they were both moved lower.

I love my Cicadas.
Favorite one is the X5 with 1xLPL+3xMLs and a 325 XL.
I refuse to use them with anything slower.

Cicada 3-M is the Mech I own the longest of all in my stable and was the first one to break 1k in it.

2 ERLarge 2 Mlas is the build i always come back to, decent mid to long range sniping and fast enough for some brawling endgame ^^

The CDA-2A is still one of my most favorite mediums and a killing machine! I ride it with a classic 6 ML loadout and doing better than the quirk boosted 5 MPL CDA-2B, ...or any Jenner I feel so strong in the mech that I focus on hunting down meta lights. Tasty Firestarters nom nom nom.
