Which is actually useful if you're running an XL TBH.

You might laugh, but I used that to my advantage with my Zeuses. I flipped the paint job so that the leg was red and the left torso was white, and the Mechs were immediately tankier.
Red is easy to see. People shoot what they can see.

Not gonna laugh. My jenners have bright upper torsos so people will split their fire between the legs and the big honking CT and I run the hill line cammo on my other fast lights with bright red tops and black legs.

Speaking of which, the Mauler missile and AC20S quirks. This is like your insurance company saying they will give you 100% coverage for costs associated with intentionally slamming your genitals in a rusty car door. This isn't a perk - this is them making fun of you.

You should have taken advantage of the higher Assault queue the last 2 weeks after the Mauler released. I was actually able to enter the heavy queue without waiting too long and finally finished out my Mad Dogs and finally mastered my Timber Wolf.
But, looks like I'm back to everything but heavy now with the Cauldron born release

Lame, I wanted it to be good.
How can you tell it isn't going to be good?
Let's wait 5 days to test it.
Brawler is good, if it's possible to do what the 5SS is able to do.
I just hope pgi gives those 9 energy hardpoints a sense.

I use a red and black combo on my mechs, preferably in a combination that doesn't quite line up with the hitboxes. On most mechs the third layer of the default skin covers the hitbox borders on the torso, painting it the same color as one of the others makes it harder to shoot any specific torso section accurately. Using a uniform camo pattern works too, for the same reason.
The downside of my using red and black is that it's not very useful for hiding your mech unless you're on Terra Therma. That doesn't matter all that much though because if you need to hide you're going to want to be somewhere you won't be easily seen anyway.

It's all going to be bad. Wait until they come out, see if any are worth the money.
I say that having already bought it. If you don't mind buying mechs that PGI designed, intentionally, to be bad then get it. Otherwise steer clear.
