Edit: This was fixed by switching to the 32 bit client. 64 worked for me before, not sure what I did or what the game did to mess that up.. oh well.

I'm having a similar problem: every time I try to start the game, I get the following system error twice:
The Program can't start because MSVCR100.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
I Just installed the game clean on a new computer, I also tried the repair tool, which did nothing. I sure as hell am not sitting through another 8 hours of reinstalling the game because PGI can't make a proper client. If some one can help fix this, it would be much appreciated.
edit, I found the game will run on 32 bit mode, only 64 bit mode is affected
Update: I got it working, it seems I was missing the C++ files for 64-bit, I went to Microsoft's site and downloaded
vcredist_x64.exe, 64 bit mode is now running.

Same here.
New install on a new PC, running Win10.
First the 64bit client worked, now it doesn't. Only the 32bitclient works.
Downloaded and installed the vcredist_x64.exe from Microsoft, yet the game still won't play in 64bit.

- on WIn10 Pro 64. cannot load game in 64bit. just closes itself.
- Force 32bit works.
- Attempted to adjust video settings in game, crashed then refused to load the 32bit version either.
- Had to run repair options and clean the client and texture settingsBack in adjusting settings, decided to make 1 change at a time, set DX from 9 to auto. assumed would be safer than forcing 11.
- On restart game wont load 32bit version either, re-running repair tool

Here you go: http://mwomercs.com/...ability-issues/
Long story short, on Win10: swtich to 32-bit mode, start the game, switch to DirectX9, switch back to 64-bit mode.
The next problem with 32-bit client you'll probably exprience is the massive amount of desktop crashes in some specific maps.
Edit: as a side-note about the 32-bit desktop-crashes; It's nice that other players are now better equipped with reporting you as a player who frequently disconnects. I'd really like to know whether this is mitigated in any way..? Is there some audit trail that keeps track of both intentional and unintentional disconnects?
