Hmm... well after a little more googling:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929605

If the My Computer -> Properties says 4GB, and the Task Manager reports 4GB total, I think this might get filed under the "don't worry about it" heading.

it might be a good excuse to upgrade to win7 64.
vista was the biggest waste of time ever imo.

What he said - no comparison, Windows 7 is a bazillion times more stable and less likely to have hardware issues.

Unless you need a laptop because you travel frequently. For that price. you can get a desktop that is atleast 2 times better then that.

Tsig, I have the same exact specs as you (Except a 460 instead of a 450, and I have Windows 7 64 bit, other than that same hardware) and I can run the game at high settings.

I bought a computer off newegg and it was listed to have 64bit vista but the restore cd's they gave me were 32bit. I contacted them and they directed me to computer manufacturer which wanted 14bux for the 64 bit version cd. I found another 64 bit vista cd and used the key that came with computer and it was fine. Dunno why newegg advertises 64 bit and seems to send 32bit.

On a side note I recommend Windows 7 64 as well. It is so much better then vista.
