ive been seeing a rash of impatient players calling out the last mech on a team often while he is still playing just because they want the match to end sooner.

to all these players understand this i am screenshoting and reporting every single one of you and i do hope you get banned and lose out on this tourny.

Already a thread running on this subject. I agree with you though. Report every last one who cannot follow the rules.

have you heard about the log out after death = disconnect bug?
people are concerned about being disqualified for a stupid bug.
I am also.
I don't think this helps.

To bad the DC bug thing because I really liked that requirement. The farmers who throw their mechs at the enemy force hoping to put up huge numbers getting insta killed to log out and rinse repeat is the worst team playstyle there is. I was happy to see them curb stomp it. To bad it didn't work out.

If I see a DC, AFK or powered down mech hiding for more than a minute, I will call them out faster than you can say WHAT????? However, if they are still moving, I will not say anything.

Failure to engage the enemy is also a bannable offense.

This is my normal playstyle. Not my fault there is an event this weekend.

when there is just One aggressive player and he runs out and gets killed you poop on him...
When he is joined by other aggressive players and they win the game for the team they are great!!!

Some people try and lead the team by stepping out... sometimes it works, sometimes not.
There is nothing wrong with leaving the game when you are DEAD!!!

And someone actually had the gall to create a poll on whether or not to have a feature to vote for ratting on the last player! Go there and vote "Hell No!" with videos saying so.

im not talking about that last player that hides in a corner shut down or just runs to avoid death as the last player.

i am referring specifically to players that just call out the last players location when said player is still fighting and moving.

just to clarify.

and yes someone called out my position when i had a fairly good spot and was still sniping the enemy with my goose waffles. (the enemy hadn't figured out where i was perched quite yet and were running completely the wrong direction)

Yup this sucks. Not only because of event but happens other times too. On time I was leveling my RVN-4X and some guy called my location on 8-11 situation. Annoying but I still managed to carry the team to victory. That kind of action is illegal so grab a screenshot an report it to moderation@mwomercs.com. If your bad and die and want get to another match just change mech cus it doesn't matter anyways with your 100 dmg.

Or better yet, report that bloody thread, like I did.

On a more serious note, this is why I believe that surrender needs to be made an option in this game - as it is, behaviors like this are going to be here to stay so long as those matches are fights to the death with no exceptions.

"Bird Dogging" (i.e. calling out the location of a team mate that is participating in the game) is against the terms of service...and players that do it can be reported.

That's going to get you in trouble, maybe even banned from the game:

1) its still not clear if hiding meets the "failure to engage" criteria if that pilot engaged at any other time in the match

2) more importantly, it is not your place to adjudicate if someone meets that definition - the only thing you are allowed to do is report them for hiding/shut down. Calling out their position because you "judge" them to be hiding is still Team Treason and can get you banned, even if you are right.

Report bannable offenses for PGI staff to decide. Do not take matters into your own hands.

I actually almost did. But, I really can't report the thread, even if it was a really horrible idea.

If only PGI imposed progressively increasing bans (i.e. 1/2/4/8/16 weeks) when provided evidence of team treason, people would stop doing it in no time at all.
