It is 25k now.

I'm not sure what OP means with active player count, the 24K number just means that many people played at least one game during the event. The interesting number is how many players are online at the same time, since it has a huge impact on matchmaking and wait times. This is of course a much lower number than 24K.
Sure thing, but how many people are actively playing is an important number, too - and this was a good opportunity to catch it.

How many alt accounts sprinkled in there and are those active accounts? Plenty of people quit or tried it and never play.

I wonder how many of those are duplicate accounts?
The number of registered accounts is much higher than 24k, but I doubt that this was a weekend for much alt account activity - most people had their hands full with getting those rewards for the main. So the 24k - 25k now on Tuesday morning CEST - is probably a solid number.

IF there is so many players on, why are the Q times so long!? They arent in CW thats for sure.
Interesting point! No way to number the overlays but even though the number of players in CW is much lower than in the public queue there might be people who played CW exclusively this weekend - which adds to the overall numbers again.

25k logins factor in 1 time log ins the ones who rarely play at all over the entire weekend , 72 hours , over ten hours would average at 2.5k logins a hour.
divide that by 7 i suspect the number of people logged in at any time is lower then 1.5k quite a bit lower.
btw.... Anyone struggling 25,000 players ranked in the entire tournament playing atleast one match.
(which is bad in its self people getting on the board with one game)
Works out on average at 348 people a hour logging in over the entire weekend just did the math , That's really really bad. And I rounded up.
No, wrong. There is a base of 12000+ players who played several hours over the weekend and ADDITIONALLY there are a lot of people within those 12k that played much more. The other half of players who only played a few games comes on top of that.

pretty sure there are lots of people who can do worse than 6 points out there.
If you dc in the only game you loaded you get no score and are not counted. If you afk your game and loose with 0 activity you get more points than 6. If you do anything towards your team the points start trickling in. It was damn hard to score only 6.
