Currently we have a variety of TCs available with scaling bonuses, but it's rarely a good trade-off to use the heavier TCs.
And originally, you needed to account for the weight of the affected weapons to mount the appropriate TC size, such as the Adder and Warhawk Primes.
Then, the TC modifies Range, Projectile Speed, Crit Chance, Sensor Range, Zoom and Targeting Data.
Instead, I think it should be considered to adjust arm speeds, torso speeds, since the player is the one aiming.
And I would consider a flat boost to those speeds that is the same for the different size TCs.
So if a player mounts 30 tons of weapons and wants a TC, the only option is to mount the 6 ton. 6 crit slot version.
And for example a Direwolf that mounts a TC so six tons for 30 tons of weapons, where the boost is say 15%, that takes its
Arm Yaw and Pitch speeds from 135°/s to potentially 155°/s,
Twist Speed goes from 34°/s to 39.1°/s,
Torso Yaw Speed goes from 60°/s to 69°/s and
Torso Pitch Speed goes from 33°/s to 37.95°/s
And here's a description of the TC
