A kill is worth 4 match score.

That's the same as 8 points of damage.

12 points for a Solo Kill, 0 points for a KMMD (they seem to actually remove 1 point).


Your damage wasn't enough to get you the first prize (half=Match Score), and obviously not enough Solo Kills or other bonuses (each Protected series are worth 2)

Just came from a match where I got 401 points... I did the best I could got 500+ damage and 2 kills + a bunch of assists, but if it hadn't been for an enemy disco that I could farm for a bit of damage in the end I wouldn't have made it.... doesn't feel right, but you do what you have to do.

UAVs give 1-2 bonus points per reward and spotting, but damage is king.

I had one where I got 4 kills, 2 assists and 450 damage. 3 of those kills were solo kills. I also had 5 total KMDD. Match score: 288.

So I killed 1/4 of the enemy team by myself and was mostly responsible for almost half and still didn't qualify for the TIER ONE rewards. I've seen a few games where nobody on the winning team got over 300 match score.

I like the fact that this challenge is actually a little challenging but this is ridiculous.

It's all about gaming their formula. I found that a Whale with four UAC-10s and a Black Cat with two UAC-10s and four ERSLs are the way to go.

You need around 600 damage and a really good UAV.

When a light mech can sweep in and finish off what your trying to kill, thus robbing you of those last few points, thats when you know its a shite tournament.

300-400 dmg matches are nothing to write home about.

Goes along with my theory that PGI is built on whales and survives on whales. They could care less about growing the base.
The package price reduction is an omen they hit the top of the curve already on whales.

pretty sure those protected X class and such count too. so this tourny is go in ball, grab them. get some flanks and assist kills + dam= profit.

My top game so far was 3 kills (Hunchback, Timber Wolf, and Dire Wolf), 3 assists, and 747 damage for a score of 513. One (maybe 2) Solo Kill (2), 5 Most Damage, something like 10 Components, and all kinds of spotting, scouting, hit-and-run, and flanking bonuses. Doing it in a Yen Lo Wang probably helped.

Conversely, I had a 7 kill game where the same 'Mech was death incarnate and posted several solo kills, but since I was so efficient (barely broke 400 damage even soloing several 'Mechs(lights that gave my AC/20 free kills)) I did not break 400.
