Either way it's stupid. Seems like someone (paul) can't even be bothered to make mechs good anymore, they always have to be next to useless (unless they are clan heavies - summoner/ scarecrow/ artic cheetah).

Im not saying those mechs shouldn't be good, im saying that IS mechs should be just AS good.


Thats the problem with games like this. You cannot have ANYTHING good.

"This mech/tank/plane is really good! Its murdering us when piloted/driven/flown by anyone with a least bit of competence!!! Its as easy to kill as any other mech, but I dont think it should be better than my canonically/historically POS mech/tank-plane!!!! NERF PLZ!!!!!"

I dotn care what you say. I dont think a hunchback should be outgunning newer generations of mechs...Yes i understand that is your baby. yeah its fine it can keep boating its 9 medium lasers or whatever....but do we really need to quirk the gauss rifle to where it can fire a shot every second to keep it relevant? I dont think so...

Agreed. The quirks on the Black Knight do seem underwhelming in comparison to some that came before it. PGI is probably a little gun shy, and depending on what they have planned for the re-balance maybe they were worried setting the bar too high on these new mechs would cause more strife down the road when the re-balance happens. Hard to say really, but I am at least going to try the mech out and see how it handles before I dismiss it completely.

When people were actually analyzing the packs.. it was clear most of it was laservomit/energy based, except the Mauler. Also, the "extra Crab" was the only one with JJs (the whole pack is totally ground bound).

I'm not sure how you missed this important detail.

Crab is gonna be the next Stormcrow! First Tier 1 IS medium! PGI been saving up all those sweet, sweet quirks to give them to the Crabs! PGI YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!

Well I think 10% is a decent start at least. What did the ACH get that freaked everyone out? 4%?

I'm mostly disappointed that the hardpoints are so low. It's as if PGI is afraid to add a new clear Teir 1 mech because forum reaction to Teir 1 mechs is less than thankful.

We won't get new Teir 1 mechs, if every time one gets added, people scream bloody murder to nerf it.

The ACH is fast with JJ, has enough hardpoints with not bad placement (shoulder ones), good hitboxes, good size, clan XL, clan weapons...

Should I continue?

The quirks are fine. Stop using mechs that have big weapon quirks cause u know they are going away
