Lol no matter what people complain

I think your lack of reading comprehension is shocking. They do not complain. Quite the opposite: they say what was bad (RNG and DCers) AND what was good (the score was spot on and challenging).

They need to lower the CW requirements too

Its completely dumb that your match score is averaged between all your mechs, so you cant die or you get a crap score.

While its not particularly hard to get 300 points on its own, that fact coupled with the RNG of never getting the right map, makes it extremely frustrating. Especially when you have to play against premades as a solo player. At least you can avoid that in the public queue.

They should lower the requirements for the CW prize packs to 150/250.

Hey Grim Portico. I know we only had one date, and it wasn't the best. But I still had some fun and got to meet new people.

I was wondering if you'd kindly let me take you one a second date?

ive gamed for 12 hours a day for 5 days for some paint and a few mc. all for it to come down to 3 chances to defeat top tier units with only tourist pugs on my side. i am both physically and mentally drained. pgi cannot fix the damage to their image that they have done this weekend.

They haven't damaged anything.
They set up a rotation of 9 maps with equal chance of getting anyone of 'em and also included a challenging score to get.

Hell, nothing forces them to do these events.

Exactly. Completing them is to our own benefit, not theirs.

There was a time when I first started, there was literally 3 events in a full year, and that was it. Now we're seeing 2 a month sometimes. We should be grateful at the chance for free ****

lol.. they caved in to the whining again.

Such arrogance assumes there was no problem with the event. There was a problem with the event. In fact two: 1 the original DC limiter did not work and 2. There were exploiters. These are objectively documented. Subjectively, my expereince was mining collective rarely appeared whereas river city and forest colony were every other map.
Another subjective problem was disconnects imbalancing teams in a system which expects full teams for the matchmaker math to work at all..
So no, this was not caving to the whining, this was an attempt at customer service.

Not really a fan of this change, was planning on trying for the last of the T2 - and it was actually a challenge when I got the maps to go for the scores.

No, it was not equal, not even close to equal. My guess is they did not take the weight off the new maps, and increased the frequency by taking off four maps (Frozen city, Frozen city night, Alpine and Mordor). So very literally people were seeing particular maps over and over. The only way to make maps equally available is not select them randomly, but to progress them linearly by either player to time.

and nothing forces me to give them any more money. the events are pure publicity, they do it to get the player count up. this in turn leads to the sale of overpriced mech packs which helps fund the game. events are advertising, a foot in the door. this time it backfired.

i was ready to fork over $70+ next month, planning to buy a couple mech packs and some mc. i even made a shopping list (which has since been lit on fire). then this event rolls around. i thing hey this might be good. then they do something that flat out convinces me of their ineptitude and make me ask the question "do i really want to support these people?". right now the answer is no.

Well unless you get a PGI employee to contradict the previous employee, all maps were weighted equally.
"It feels like...." is not an argument.

This is the part that kills me. I've got all the CW maps I need except Grim Portico, and both times I dropped there it was as a team of 12 solos against a 12-man group that was gunning hard to win challenge qualifications. The "good" match was 48-10. Seven Boreal Vaults, six Hellbore Springs, and three of everything else later, still no Portico.

Then don,t support them, just don't come out complaining about events afterwards.

Thank you, PGI! I have hunted that 400 score on all maps, only to find out now, that it was effectively wasted effort on my side ...

I feel the same way...
I stayed up late friday and spent all day saturday trying to get 400 match score for only 3 maps. The whole day. for 3 stupid maps, continually getting 320, 350, 390 match scores. And now they do this. Atleast they could have kept the 400 as a 3rd tier with another 2 mill c-bills or something. for the people who now obviously slaved away for nothing ...

Oh well, I guess I'm happy that the less able can now get the same rewards as I did for the less effort.

"The problem is the random aspect of map selection, not the match score goal. We don't really mind a challenge being challenging, as long as it is our skill that determines success/failure."

Its a simple fix for next time they have a map-dependent challenge -

Run all the maps (12?) and only require 10

That way people won't be stuck in limbo over one map

Yeah, that's what annoys me about it most i think, I could have been done in the 35 matches it took me to see all the maps once. (Which is honestly 26 too many with a 9 map limit, but whatever)

Really annoying is that I was pushing pretty hard and so close to 400 on the 3 maps I was missing so it's a let down to have that effort essentially mean nothing because top 10 is pointless to even try for.
