How could anyone read the contest rules and think it was going to be anything other than a nightmare though? I'm just baffled that so many people chose to put themselves through it.

To be fair, I found the game play to be quite viciously competitive - presuming you got 2 teams that all participated.

So here was my line of thinking as the weekend progressed

Thursday:I'm just going to take it easy. Get my solo queue games to tier 2 and not sweat it.

Saturday Afternoon: Huh, I'm all done and I do need a few CW matches for the next level. I'll just pop in for one or two today maybe a few tomorrow and see where it takes me. Besides those colors would be neat...

Sunday Afternoon: Oh hey they lowered the requirement and I'm pretty close to tier 1 reward. I'll just play a few more

Sunday Evening: Alright! I just need one more this shouldn't take long...

8 hours later: You think you can beat me God?! YOU RESTED ON THE 7th DAY BUT I'M STILL HERE! I WILL GET BOREAL VAULT AND I WILL SHOW YOU THE MEANING OF PERSISTENCE!

The irony though is that Boreal is the most likely map you'll get, due to how the system works.

Yep. Out of the four days I played, Mining Collective and Tourmaline each appeared only four times (once a day). However, River City, The Bog, and HPG came up over and over, sometimes as frequently as three times in a row. PGI's RNG is broken.

I never fired up all weekend after reading them. Of course I have been here a long time and knew what to expect. I feel sorry for the guys who were clueless about how these things go.

PGI did not make any new friends this weekend.
