My tier 1 screenshot had a Panther in it and Krivvan and Yoki had Jenners in their Tier 1 screens iirc.

My screenshot would have shown my Firestarter if I hadn't trimmed it to just the box. Frankly, one thing I hate about PSR is that it's all one bucket. It needed to get more granular, not less. I may be a Tier 1 pilot in lights, but I'm not in assaults.

honestly, it should be on a variant basis. Yes, you could alter the loadout from time to time, but their are some variants that are hands down easier than others in certain chassis.

So while i'm happy to be in tier 1, im also not happy that I wont be able to re-adjust and get rid of my rust in such a highly competitive tier (at least i think it is?).
All i know is my first month is gonna be mad rage because won't be playing at the level i used to till i get back up there. Does grouping with lower tiers like tier 4 and 5 allow me to play in those tiers? Its what im gonna need lol

No, it means that they have the potential of being dragged up into your tier, and playing with the higher tier people that the system is supposed to prevent.

solo queue keeps T1s away from T4 and T5, but in group queue the team is averaged, so you can with and against everyone based on the team makeup.

Lol no, the top bar was when I logged in after the patch, then I added the current bar (as of last night) into the old pic under the original bar. It shows it a bit more precise than having you flip between 2 pics.
Here is the original, and showing a non-meta light mech. My archived stats show K/D of 4.39 & current of 3.25, so I think it's a good indication not all tier 1's use big mechs.

I don't think there's a correlation. I'm not T1, but I just posted with a BJ-1X because that's one of my pretty 'Mechs. The ones I actually play the most are all Smoke Jag Black to make them really hard to see on Terra Therma, HPG Manifold, Tourmaline (against crystals), Mining Collective, etc.
Tryhard gonna tryhard, no shame!

That logic is fine if you only play to move up in Tier. If you still have fun playing, then the logic breaks down.

I don't usually play meta, I never play mastered mechs and I've mostly been moving up.

Either way, I didnt start 3 years ago for tiers so if I play 10 or 20 or 30 games a week (which I do), if all mechs are equal then there is no incentive other than C bills. Free to play wins again. All of PGI efforts are free to me. Thanks PGI!

No it doesn't. It only means you're not playing the game in a way that will make PSR go up in a steady rate. So basically not playing along with a game mechanic.
It's like you want to make C-bills, but as a die-hard Clan RPer you refuse to splash all enemy mechs for Assists and just focus on a particular target. It may not be optimal but if that's the way a person wants to play the game....
Personally I've got FUN as my yardstick. Because if I'm not playing a game in order to have fun (and challenging can be fun, just look at Dark Souls) then why am I playing it? (personal motivation of course)
