On wait, scratch that. 1600 games include ones I played from a year ago. I started playing again first week of October iirc. Started in t3.

Mine was created 11/5 (ye tukaayid, but i wasnt aware of it in that day).
When PSR was announced, i discover im sitting at 25% of T5 bar. (my initial PSR screen is here at PAGE 6).
It cost me around 500-600 matches from T5 into T4. it was sometimes pain.
On the other hand, progress through T4 was MUCH flawless. I assume i played 200-300 matches only in T4.
you have 2929 post but you only started when Tukaayid?

It seems that to increase my PSR to 1, I and a couple of other lucky guys are required to carry a bunch of Tier 5 players who don't know how to regroup, every match.
When we fail to do so, even when I do more damage than an entire derp lance, my PSR is negatively impacted. So it's two steps forward, one step back, match by match.

I don't play much, I sometimes suck, and back when the UrbanMech was released, my kdr (and subsequently by win/loss) dropped to something like 0.6 because I insisted on a std 60 or bust policy . Only got everything back up above 1 couple days ago.

I compared screenshots. I was a hair in T2, it increased ever so slightly but still did. I played my mech normally, bought new one and grinded them(shadowcat, executioners, panther, hbk and other old one i had), in other words, i didnt try, not hard at least. Since psr, my kdr has gone down by almost 0.15, i seem to have worse(shy) team than before with bad tactic that never win like sitting at D4 on Crimson City letting the other team to chose how they will kill us. But eventually ill be t1, not sure how long it will take or if i belong there or if i want to play there(assuming they arent always taken out of their tier).
So while it felt like it never moved, it actually made quite an improvement. The next tier is supposed to be the best players. Maybe it could use a few more tier when we get more players at steam launch.
There's 1 month between these 2 screenshot.

There's a fellow from EMP who's racing a new alt to tier 1. He went from tier 4 to 2 in about 160 games. However things seem to really slow down at Tier 2. He's progressing toward tier 1, but it's a slog.

I would expect someone minded on having the best match score all the time to progress much faster than me but yeah it's still going to get slow. Im grinding brand new R2 mech since this event and im still progressing albeit slowly. Id like to hear often from his challenge/progression. If you can keep us updated.

Here's my progress if you are interested:
My KDR did drop with .10 pts due Orions. But it's fairly stable now because i mastered them. Took a while though. It was painful to master with practically all players having their mech outfitted already.
It does move, But incredible slow.

It kind of is but you kind of do have to have a positive win rate at least to max it out. Losses, unless your really performing exceptionally, usually result in your PSR going down and even if your performing just fairly well a loss usually nets you a "="
I kind of view it more of an indication of experience level rather than skill level to be honest. If your Tier 1, you might actually be good but at the very least it means you have alot of experience playing the game.

I have mechs that I do well in and others not so good.
Tier ratings are based on overall performance between all mechs a person may play. This is a better way to judge your performance as a MechWarrior.
You can't claim to have a higher tier based on your favorite mech.
Keep in mind the PSR rating is tracked from January, and your tier is based on those numbers.
Where are they now?
This thread is pretty cool to read through. I found it to be entertaining.
