huggin is the premier nascar ride. Finding the lost dire wolf or atlas first gives you easily the first kill and 200-300 Damage, depending on farming attitude.
High risk, high reward, though as most whale builds can one shot you if you let 'em.

The funny thing about the Huggin is that to really kill things you need to remove the MGs and add +A. This does cut down on damage. I have tried it multiple times and still get the same result. Less damage stuff dies faster. If folks are in a group a Raven dies real real real fast compared to Cheetos and Fstarters and in a strafe you spread to much damage instead of removing a section of armor.
There are some lights that exist to look for separated or DC mechs and then slowly kill them to get a great score. This is really inflated if someone has a ton of ammo. The same is true for good lights that go after those cowardly LRM boats in back. Ammo explosions make great damage numbers (pretty sure case limits the amount of damage taken which is what is shown, not the damage potential in the explosion)
Huggins are great fun to play if you can find the short yellow bus mechs, but they are not too easy against good players/builds.

Thanks for explaining guys, all is clear now. Don't think I've seen a raven achieve anywhere near those numbers before, and seeing it twice in a row set off some alarm bells.
Only been playing a couple of months so you'll have to forgive my lack of knowledge about some of these 'mechs.

Do you even Huginn bro?
It's fine... you'll get familiar with the mechs as you go on. Huginn is also known as the srm machine gun mech... you almost feel bad when you pilot one while wrecking people left and right.... its over-quirked as F*.

No, It's useless without the quirks, with quirks it's good but situational. It's nowhere near overpowered since things have to mesh togheter. Saying it's overpowered is like saying a Dire Wolf is overpowered and only counting the times when staying alone right in front of it and trying to facetank the dakka.

Just played a couple of games. First one was very close as you can see. Great score for the Raven H, with 896 dmg, which is unusual for a raven, but he was the last of their team so was alive the entire match. Good player too, killed 2 of the remaining 3 of our team.
Second match was much easier, the raven pilot was on my team this time. Short game, only 4 minutes compared to 8 minutes for the previous game. Raven's dmg? 869.
I didn't think twice about the first game, I suppose a high dmg of 800+ can happen occasionally in a light such as a raven, but doing almost exactly the same damage in the next match in half the time?

The player could just be a good Raven Pilot.

Raven is a good mehc, my first mech I went with and I had many games lay between 500 to 1000 damage. The huginn however? due to sheer fire rate quirks and stuff it can easily dish out htat much damage, the weakness of a huginn is not firepower, heat, or anything, it's the fact it can NEVER have enough ammo.
