Basically what the title says, the Black Knights center torso gets hit way to much when I am show only my right or left side.

And when you shoot the side torso's it registers the center.

Some members of my merc company reported damage transfer from front CT to rear CT in initial public queue drops last night. They then parked the mech in the hanger until fixed.

I can confirm this, most of the Damage goes to the Center Torso, no matter if I get shot from the front or the back. The Side Torso´s only take little to no Damage. When I get killed its always the Center Torso and the Side Torso´s barely lost some armor.

*hint: ...the head can be hit from every angle and does count as CT, as far as I remember

On paper it doesn't look so bad, however I confirm that Black Knights die from central torso all the time.

When Black Knight is turning around trying to migitate damage, side torsos aren't visible anymore. When you shoot at BK from a profile view you can bearly see anything but a central torso, head and his arm, while head counts as a central torso aswell, making CT fully exposed.

The only position from which blackknight can migitate damage to it's side torsos is the one in front of your enemy, while when you stand to your opponent that way, it's banal for him to pick a part of your body he want to shoot at.

Shield with your right side instead of your left. Yes, you'd lose 2 weapons instead of 1 on the left arm, but the right arm shield pauldron on the Knight is larger and easier to catch damage on.

This is not only Black Knight bug as far as I know.

I was hit in the front left today and took rear damage.

Also it seems missiles love that CT too.

We're going to be adjusting the Black Knight CT hitboxes in the October 6th patch. A greater portion of the left and right side-facing areas of the head, 'turtleneck', and upper 'backpack' are going to be moved into the respective RT/LT hitboxes.

While portions of the CT will still be exposed to side-fire, the October 6th adjustments will give the Black Knight much less CT exposure on both sides.

First thank you for answering and accepting that there is a problem. But still this means that the mech will be unplayable for 2 weeks :(

IDK why "BACKpack" should be FRONT CT

IIRC they explicitly posted a couple of times that unique geometry does NOT change hitboxes at all. You can just shoot through the added geo.

It doesn't change the hitboxes. But the right pauldron is larger on the model, regardless of the skin dropped on it. It's like the large baffles on the Griffin, although not quite that large. It is certainly larger than the left side.

I am trying the 7k with the XL 385 and 8 MPL. Spent about 12 million to get the engine and some modules. If they make it so that XL engines are a death sentence oh well, money spent money gone.
