Y'know, the one with an LRM20 on the arm, but just one hardpoint?

Is there any reason why that shouldn't be bumped up to, like four, to support an SRM Fist?

Because it's an Omnimech, so PGI will never inflate them even in fringe cases where it might make sense.

Well, if you want to use it as LRM support you can pod in a Nova C left torso to go with the missile arm. But if you want to boat SRMs on a jumping clan medium you are going to have to grab a Shadow Cat, and even then still be limited to 3 hard points.

Honestly, it seems to me that PGI has been against hard point inflation on omnis in order to curb people from making crazy builds. Sadly, this has not kept the the most efficient mechs from doing so anyway, and has kept the under performers from even attempting to compensate with more guns.

I'd love to know where in any art, it showed the TBR-A having those 3 E weapons high up like that.

But, I digress.

It was described as being "high up like that" in the original printing of TRO3050. Some Google searching shows a kit-bashed model that supposedly was canonized. http://www.camospecs...ure.asp?ID=6305

stormcrow

you said 'would help' not 'needed'

It does... However, that right arm seems to be an ATM12, so this sucker's at least a decade out in the timeline. And PGI hasn't said anything to indicate that they plan on moving the timeline forward anytime soon.
