jumping Crab ftw, only one i would probably use anyway. wish the Black Knight had at least 1 varaint with jump jets. Mechwarrior was always more fun for me with jump jetting mechs, oh well! was a real bummer no BK with jets...

I'm looking foward to it just so I don't see 5 heavies and 3-4 assaults in most of my games. I wish they would vary up the releases a bit more. Ebons for Cbills then release of Blackknights right soon after = not very fun games.

I real really liked the Crab in TT, but the whole laser meta has been played out, PGI has jumped the shark. I hope they can recover, but history is not in their favor.

probably because the MW4 BK had JJs.

Non remotely canon, just like the majority of MW4, but it's the familiar version of the BK for most people.

With the BK it feels like PGI has given me one STD. Not so enthusiastic about Crabs too.

Crab is the coolest looking Resistance 2 mech and the only one I've really been looking forward to playing.

Even then I'm going to zombie it with a STD engine because IS XL are a death sentence.

I suggest you look @ the Crab page.

IIRC, most of the engine caps resemble the Trebuchet, but that is most likely going to be irrelevant if the side torsos are large as you'll likely to field a STD 250-275 instead...

Doesn't answer my question. I have a specific play style which allows me to play things "wrong" to great effect.

I really like the look, so I'm excited about getting it for that reason.

I don't think it will be a good mech though. The benchmarks for good medium laser boats are set by mechs like the stormcrow, nova and blackjack 1X, and the crab don't seem to offer anything remotely as powerful. Especially as PGI is giving new IS mechs such weak quirks.

But I would love to be wrong, I want to like it.
