This just some silly anti-fanboy bias right ?
The single player game is schedule for 2016. https://robertsspace....com/squadron42
The PU game... probably 2017 and beyond...

Right and the FPS module was schedule for 6 months or so ago now. Let's be honest, Roberts is terrible at keeping schedules, and when you add in all the studios on the project, jetsetting around the world constantly, rent, payroll, and showing off at each and every convention under the sun, that costs money. How many years has it been now 3? And all he has to show for it is a buggy ass hangar and arena module.

Actually, I think there is a starbase you can land on and explore now.

HBS can hammer some people over the head with lore and rub it in their faces and those people still will not get a clue. Apparently the mistake that is the Clans can not be erased.

I'm ok with the clans, in the novels. Really enjoyed reading those.

After some talking with fellow pilots I'm impressed how much PGI has damaged the brand.
Good job PGI, we found the one thing you guys are by far the very bestest in the whole world.
Two out of three people I spoke to had such a bad experience with MWO that they refused even the idea of supporting any campaign again ever, no matter who are the people involved and what they bring to table (compared with PGI, who brought nothing) in terms of former achievements.
Glad it worked out for HBS anyway.

I supported HBS for this project and based on their good track record compared to that of PGI. After seeing how well they did with their Shadowrun series and positive reviews from their other games, I have confidence in these guys. The only thing PGI has to offer are their MWO models to HBS, nothing else. To be fair though, I do understand the negative views to PGI from things like unwanted content and broken promises (though there is some good progress). After all, HBS and Jordan are the founders of this universe, not PGI. So you shouldn't judge HBS based on the failure of PGI.

To be fair, PGIs strongest asset are their artists.

They could always stop selling mechs and go out of business I suppose. I prefer the current approach of staying in business though so I can play MWO from time to time.

Development start in 2011, that's a 6yr waiting period. I don't mind, as long as the game is something worth playing.

True, the people who are whining for them to hurry up are the first people who would be whining if they hurried and released a buggy unfinished game.

Yea, and lets not forget guys, it's really IGP we should be upset about. You know, the ORIGINAL publishing company of MWO that's actually responsible for the horrible direction this game started on (not PGI, they're responsible for everything that's been done to try fix the bloody mess IGP left), the same company that drove MechWarrior Tactics into the ground, then filed for bankruptcy? The same company that kept collecting off of MechWarrior Tactics even though they had no developer, until somebody uncovered that secret and called fraud on that ****? I'm talking about INFINITE GAMES PUBLISHING. They're the reason this game is in a sorry state from what it could have been.

Please don't blame PGI people, they've been doing pretty stellar since IGP sold the rights. Honestly, IGP probably cut so many corners coding this game that there may be some things PGI will never be able to fix, short of developing a completely new game. PGI has two years of horrible mistakes to fix, thanks to IGP, but they've done well so far.

IGP is a convenient scapegoat aren't they? Seriously though, there is no conspiracy, PGI is a company that wants to make money, they joined with IGP to help them make money, until they realized that IGP's decisions were not very popular with their customers, so they ditched IGP and blamed all the problems on them.

Skimmed over that comment a bit too fast and read "PGI's strongest assets are their a.ss.hats", and went "yup, true dat".

But yes, the art is soon the only redeeming features this game has.

Edit: Bloody word filter ruining a perfectly good joke...

Of course there's no conspiracy! PGI wants to make money, EVERY BLOODY COMPANY wants to make money lol! IGP sucked, which is why they went bankrupt, and PGI rocks because they saved this game from almost assured collapse a year and a half ago. And everybody keeps blaming PGI for IGP's mistakes because the bloody acronyms are so freaking ironically similar! I bet there's a lot of people who don't even know PGI and IGP are completely different companies.
