We all know Caustic is one of the worst offenders when it comes to NASCAR tactics. What's your personal record for full revolutions around center during a single match?

Criteria:
1. The majority of the team must be doing the NASCAR. We all know the slow assaults are usually the first to go, but as long as the bulk of your remaining teammates are rotating around center, it counts.

2. Rounding the corners by going through the caldera is allowed, provided it's still done on the perimeter edges (i.e. cutting right through the middle of center doesn't count).

This is just for fun, so the criteria is there mainly to just help illustrate what I'm talking about. Most should be familiar and should understand what does/doesn't count as NASCARing.

Bonus points if you have video, but it's not required. Just for the lulz.

My personal record? 3.5 rotations, never touching center. Was back during a solo queue leaderboard event while the PPC/AC5 poptart meta still reigned. Both teams were comprised of random comp players. Was a continuous circle at max speed, never stopping. Those that stopped fell behind instantly and were focused down. Both teams continued to bleed players 1 by 1 until eventually one side emerged as the victors (pun totally intended). I was still new to the poptarting scene at the time in my VTR-9S, and just remembered being terrified at how many high level players were there. I couldn't hit much, so I mainly focused on just not getting left behind.

For me, no other NASCAR experience in MWO ever came close to this one in terms of balls to the wall, Mad Max: Fury Road levels of relentless insanity and continuous motion.

I have a Dire, so from a left side drop my record is about 1/2 a lap trying to keep up with team before getting back shot out. I don't bother any more. If I drop left side and team starts running right, fu*k 'em, I'll sit and wait for the roll.

4-ish times.

I stop really counting by that time, I'm making more car wreck jokes.

I know a lot of people don't like the rotation, but in skirmish mode I think it's pretty fun when everyone is moving around like that. I'm not sure what my record is, but usually the circles tend to get smaller and smaller until it comes down to this.

I circled it twice with my Dakka Whale, so that's gotta be some sort of record.

I never circle all the way around, more like back and forth and across the center a time or 2...

One.

No really. Usually by that point one team or the other is collapsing and it turns into hunting down what's left.

I had one enjoyable game where the enemy quickly gave up moving and set up in the crater, and having started out moving anticlockwise we continued circling them the entire match and popping up to shoot them from unexpected angles. Luckily in that match I was testing a fast XL Zeus build which was perfect for mobile hit and run, and we won with about four of our team still alive.

How much shooting did you manage to get done?

As a light pilot who favours close attacks i never followed my team it the roundie roundie,,, i always criss crossed it attacking from short range between gaps in the ridgeline as enemy team ran past....

So i don't have a number of revolutions to count...

3 rounds, in a laserback. And it usually works out way better than not going for the race...

Not much for the first 70% of the match. I think I got about 300 damage that game, which is pretty low.

about four revolutions as well. It was a particularly clan heavy game and everyone was doing 89.1kph

I am not sure how many but several matches I was dizzy after. I really miss the old days when it was chaos and fights were like riots. Now its boring as hell win or lose.

Near the end of the round it was 4 Timbers/Ebons vs. 4 Timber/Ebons... we didn't stop.... was a solid 7min of turning left.

Three.

But my favorite is when after one rotation we counter rotated. We counter rotated on the lip by the water, and focus fired wiped their entire team.
