Can totally relate to OP. When I first started playing a a year ago, I ran Jaggers, Quickdraws, Stalkers and Ravens. Have not played any of them much in last several months as I fell into the Pokemech trap and have spent most of my infrequent playing time mastering chassis that I have purchased (T-bolts for CW, then Griffins, then...anything I could buy with my precious c-bills!!!). Gonna be the same thing for a while longer, what with the reward Wolverine and Zeus...cuz I will have to buy two more of those to master them! Sigh.
But when I go back to some of the old reliables...sometimes its just magic. Its what keeps me playing though I am terrible. When I have a match like that (where I feel like I am contributing...not necessarily getting kills, but just helping the team) it gives me hope that I am perhaps not destined for Tier 6. And now, back to overheating in my Black Knights.

Well, I don't know. Catapults aren't typically considered to be über-mechs. Even the Jester. Though it is nimble and has good hardpoints. It's fragile, however.
After the Catapult's CT buffs in the quirk system, I'd say it is about on par with the Ebon Jaguar in durability. Now mind you the EBJ isn't known for it's CT durability either, but it is manageable and that is more than I can say for the Black Knight right now.
I still love the Jester though. It is a medium stuck in a heavy platform and that makes it an absolute blast to play. Love it.
The Ilya also has been getting more play from me lately. It is still a nice dakka machine. Love it as well.

Jenners. My first true love.
I ran them again the other night with my team and I was practically weeping in joy. They may be the best feeling for speed, manoeuvrability and jumpjets combined in the game. And they still pack a decent punch.
CT issues aside still by far my favourite light mech in the game by a mile.

I brought out my HBK-4G classic over the weekend and had a blast! That Mech never gets old and the AC/20 is so sweet!
I also dug out my Nova Prime with its 12 CERML armament. Am I the only one that runs that now? It's so much fun!
