I'm just tired of, BEFORE WE EVEN START THE GAME, the fact that you are "ELITE" and don't be doing something - "YOU" don't approve of, because you used to play MW4. I used to play in the tesla sites... three of them, two invitationals, 2 bells and a burton and, I'm no more "Elite" than you are... and I have way more than you have invested in this game. (probably two cars, $15 a game X over a 1000 games, plus tourney fees at $50 per... I'd guess $30K?)

The only thing I remember about "The Hudsucker Proxy" was the CEO taking a dive, The Hula Hoop, and the ~ 6 seconds Anna Nicole Smith was in the film.

The search doesn't always work too great either. Especially if it involves short words, or 3 letter acronyms, because there is a 4 character limit. The word "Mech" just BARELY makes it without being filtered.

Ok you really, REALLY misunderstood my intent.

I was just attempting (failing) to make a sarcastic remark to a friend of ours *COUGH*YOU*COUGH* that declared myself and a few other members as "elites." I believe you were referencing our attitudes and not our purchase. Which is my I posted my feeble attempt at humor.

All I was trying to convey was that there is a certain pecking order to ********. **** runs downhill, not up!

ETA: Oh and I consider 'Community Veterans' to be people with several hundred posts. Waaay more than me*

Thanks OP you actually made a good point but... its all in execution, there are actually quite a few repeated threads that go on for a long ways, get forgotten and then repeated a week later all with the same result. The occasional person throws in their two cents about using the search function, most people ignore them.
You on the other hand do not ignore them apparently, no you go and create this here post which all of the well meaning members try to hijack and turn into yet another classic troll post filled with good humored jokes and jabs at one another. You have yet to learn that once the post has been hijacked to move along.

It is exactly the attitude. Not the actual status. Or any claimed status. People will stop posting if they're being made fun of. (note the tagline again, or do I have to repost it?) It's not OUR position to tell noob people or ANY people, (who are our equals), what to say or ask... I fought for that right, I don't know where you live... but I gotta say something. I still limp, because of that right, for 40 years now...

They have a right to ask why is the moon blue on sirius, because they have the right. Not the right to get an answer. Just the right to ask, without the tagline...

So maybe when they do have a question - we all want to know, they wont be afraid to ask it... That's all this thread was about...

Do you recognise the right for people to give you the answer "use the search bar"? If they say it then (hopefully) there actually is something to be found when you use it, so it's just a somewhat ruder way to say "there's already a thread on this topic".

If you don't acknowledge the right of people to respond in the way they naturally respond in, then they might not acknowledge your right to ask questions in the way you naturally ask in, either. People are different; without some give-and-take people may not get along by default.

Of course the best, most productive reply if there already is a topic, is to drop a link to that topic. But not everyone might do that.

I'd rather people talk to each other nicely as well, but then if we were to police everyone just for not being completely nice, PGI would fire us for muting half the founders and crashing their playerbase. Hmm.

Oh don't worry though. If it crosses a certain line someone will start taking action. But while we have an idea of it, the lines of different moderators are different. Mine's probably the hardest to cross, though, so if I start replacing your lines with the lyrics of Never Gonna Give You Up, you know why...
