Is It Hard To Make That Only Your Team Sees Your Disconnecters?

the other team has absolutely no reason to know that you have a player who disconnected

OP's wording was "Absolutely no reason".

This assumes they will reconnect. A light will check spawns regardless, DC or not, a non moving mech is going to be vultured.

Then the opposing team has absolutely no reson to know how many mech left on your team. Would you ask PGI to remove those counters in the top middle of the screen?

spawns should be randomized so that lights have to scout. The "Their spawn is right there and I can fire down this corridor for an easy hit" needs to die as well.

those are different things, both teams see when a mech dies and the list of alive/dead players should be open for both teams
btw note that you don't see enemy mech chassis models even when they were spotted and therefore you should have them on that list too (i suppose it's pgi's sloppy coding and they cannot make a proper list)
meantime disconnecters and your teammates ping it's just as private information as your teammates mech models and should be hidden

no it is not a valid reason
Because yous say so, or...?
You never gave an actual reason why this should not be.
For all I know, you're nitpicking what is relatively unimportant, and calling PGI Lazy because it's the cool thing to do.

Hell, let's make it so that your USERNAMES are hidden. The enemy team doesn't need to know that either. It's private! We don't want them predicting who they're up against, do we?

Not to mention by the time I "reconnect" to the match I'm dead 9 out of 10 times, and that is a frustrating way to die to be sure.

At least make the disco invincible until they are the last one left. Give people a chance to get back into the match and be helpful a bit.

I do however agree that light mechs will quite likely do a pass of the opposing drop zones if they do not otherwise encounter the enemy on their initial scouting foray. That's not just about harvesting easy kills... it is entirely possible to arrive just as people have reconnected or just after and are scrambling to rejoin the main force.
Personally, I don't like having the ready/ping info on both sides. Not really sure what purpose if any the "Ready" button serves anymore.

because it has nothing to do with gameplay
you can ask them if they have a dcer, the rules permit them to answer but they shouldn't say where it is
But what exactly are you trying to actively fix here? You're giving a solution for a problem that has not been stated.
If they can answer anyway, why does it matter if it's displayed or not? We already know where everyone spawns. People already whinge about how " GREAT, WE HAVE A DC" their matches have been. Not telling us that there is or isn't a DC mech is not going to stop a light from doubling around and checking for stragglers. Especially since this would actively hide that.
If a random ECM spider decides to power down in a crater in terra therma, and your side only has one mech with JJs, and DC with the rest of his team, what then?

because it gives information that you have an advantage. As was said above, if I know that they are down mechs, I can use tactics that would push that advantage, The more mechs you can bring to a line and focus with, in this game, wins.
In your ecm spider example, what does knowing he is DCed or not give you? He's still where you can't reach him. If he chose to hide without powering down or DCing, you are still stuck.

That sounds very. Generous. For the behavior I see playing solo. I'll grant it that you can probably be more aggressive, but it's highly unlikely you're going to follow through on that if everyone else decides to sit behind a ridge and peek.
Fair enough with the spider.
