Hi,

I think something needs to be adjusted with our current rewards. I just had a good game, we lost, but a couple of us had 800+ scores on the losing side. Anyway, I scored 862 damage (not many kills or assists, but still) and my meched only received 475 XP. I was running a Mauler 1R.

Previously I don't think it would have been 3x as much XP.

The game has really turned into a grind it seems for new players and people trying to Master Mechs.

860 damage should equal 430 points PLUS what you gain from spotting, NARC, etc.....

That seem about right, if you didn't score any bonuses, assists, or kills.

Damage in and of itself doesn't generate any XP, only C-Bills @ 21 per point. It's the component destroyed, kills, assists, etc that generate XP.

If all you did was hold still at the beginning of the map and lob LRMs at people, you missed out on all the other XP rewards you could have earned if you went and actually tried to fight a little closer to the enemy.

Damage != XP.

You have to actually accomplish things with your damage in order to get XPs.

He's talking about XP, not match score...

Well I don't have LRMs on this build so I didn't just stand there but in any case I was surprised at the low XP result. Is there a table that posts the new Cbill & XP bonuses etc?

Thanks!

Frankly I think they should get rid of the XP grind altogether. I come from an age where we didn't need grinds to feel accomplishment. The stacked bodies were enough. The points were gravy.

Of course i would like to see it removed too.If you don't want to xp grind you can convert xp to gxp and use premium time.

They got to make money somehow.

You really are searching for stuff when you start to complain about the Exp grind on mechs.

I kind of agree. The grinding shouldnt be mendatory like it is now or your mech sucks. On the other side it often makes me play mech i would otherwise not play. Which then leads to many lousy hours where playing is not fun at all.

I will admit the payouts are a on the low side.

It's not so much the grind, it losing the match is what hurts the payout.

Bottom line, win the match.

Oh, we don't grind for big numbers, we grind for robots that are 10% faster, 50% more agile, that run cooler, can take more heat and shoot guns faster.

What a wonderful system.
