Never been reported, at least that I know of.

I make it a habit not to act like douche when I play this game.

Part of the frustration may also be the tendency of you Raven 3l lovers to NOT directly support your team with your ECM and lasers somewhere close by, which means you are always the last to die, and watching you run and die for 3 minutes isn't any fun.

Seriously support your team you'll get a WAY better score.

While I understand the OP's frustration, DC'ing like that is and should be reportable behaviour. It may be a sucky matchup, but it sucks just as bad for the rest of your team, and they need your help. Facing much bigger groups is why I personally only play solo queue though.

Yeah, this is a pet peeve of mine ... your only ECM guys vanishing into the distance, in maps like Caustic where you really have no physical cover. I always figure that if they do that, they better do pretty damn impressive work out there. Sometimes they do, but more often they don't.

I understand the guys calling us cowards since their butts were most likely sore from being rolled so hard, but I think the DC was justified. Especially considering I never DC, and I don't want my friend to have some of his first experiences to be getting ***** by the same team over and over. I just don't think it's reasonable to ask a player to have to get pounded multiple times in a row by the same group. Just doesn't make sense to me.

You deserved your report. Enjoy your ban. Don't play group queue if you don't want to abide by the rules of group queue.

Also... taking a new player into group queue in only a two man group is not a... wise idea. You only have yourself to blame. Do not waste other players' time. Do not disconnect.

Edit: as to your thread, i'd probably have reported you for that too. The impact 2 dc's makes, even lights, even n00b lights, is huge. It means the enemy have 2 less targets to divide their attention and soak their fire. It means your team has to do far more damage. It means that all the targets you could have scouted and painted for your allies are a hypothetical situation.

Don't underestimate your contribution to battle, and don't underestimate the effect your DC has on your team.

^this

If you're a new guy, spectating is your best learning tool, even if the guy you are spectating are losing hard.

If you experience bad drops like always facing the same big group you can wait 5 minutes before starting a new one and youll get taken "out of the loop".

There's many things you could have done while also learning to play. Ive had games where i blow early but know i made a significant contribution. If you like to blow early like me though it's even more important that the damage you do is placed well.

and you deserved the rant, you might not be "scared" sitting on your chair but you're a quitter just the same and that's never cool.

Who cares, piggybacking is usualy a death sentence, ive done it with my Orion on a stalker, on a Warhawk with a treb. It happens quite often when you drop from a ledge but usually you dont realize it you just think your controls are bugged and you tend to panic and you fall off. If you dont fall off then you can have fun while everyone on the map shoot at you, enjoy your next 10 seconds of being alive.

Nothing. I've either never been reported, or the reports were not of merit for PGI contacting me to tell me I'd been reported.

Yeah, it sucks and I know it, just did because she was sad and this made her laugh a bit. Had to play the heck out of me to be able to take down a few enemies and shout on coms "Yeah!! Sturbie kills!!!".

Never been reported in-game AFAIK, but have had a couple of ... forum vacations due to criticizing the management. Apparently that's not cricket.

I've been forum reported for calling Clanners "space fascists" . . .

. . . which, when using the strictest definition of fascism (not the watered down "you have right-wing political beliefs, therefore fascist" definition), they actually really are.

But apparently the truth hurts too much! :D

The players aren't space fascists, they just play space fascists in a game.

If you said "the Clans are space fascists" that's fine (I would assume, although I'm not a mod so I couldn't say for sure).
If you said "stjobe is a space fascist" that's not fine (I'm a communist anarchist ;)).

Wait! Headshots are reported?!?!! Explains why I never get a thank you when I 100% genuinely complement the player who just one-shotted me. They think I'm bitching. Understandably cynical view. But I will be quiet about it now, knowing they might get reported.

I've done quite a bit of team killing in group queue over stupid stuff on voip. Alcohol doesn't help. Once I killed a three man that started **** with my unit. That was hilarious.

Since GM Patience got onto my case I've resisted the urge.

I know what you mean. I've said "gf" a few times after particularly pitched duels, and no one ever responds or offers me the same. Chivalry is truly dead at MWO.

If I've been reported, I'm not aware of it. I can think of several occasions where I probably should have been though.

Back in closed beta, early open beta, my buddies and I would deliberately leg the guy on our team with the big mouth and leave him to limp towards the battle. When 3-4 players focus fire a single leg it's amazing how fast they disappear.

Don't do that anymore, but damn it was funny to listen to some jackelope furiously screaming at us in the chat.

More recently I admit to "outing" the occasional last player who is hiding, shut down, wasting everyones time in some out of the way nook or cranny simply to preserve his KDR. I don't do this to lights that are running around, trying to get an angle on a severely damaged target in a horribly lop-sided match occurs. At least they are fighting.

As far as I know I've never been reported. Although I seem to recall a message about ingame language in the chat once and I replied that they should scroll up a bit and read the language of the player who I knew accused me.
