defending team has a big advantage and a good defending team knows to use it and wins everytime, they have just to snipe the attacking mechs trying to open the gates
its not funny to get everytime about 20+ large lasers into your face if you just want to open the right gate and if it is open you can´t use the right way because u don´t have any possibility to cover and get sniped by the same large lasers
left gate - almost the same, u can´t open it without loosing some mechs or getting massive damage and if u go throught the defenders have just to turn left and u get tjhe same 20+ large lasers like on right side

just put some cover on the right side and put the gate-generators a bit higher, or make the mountains on the defender side lower to prevent sniping from behind the gates

Lemming Train

approach left or right ramp as a whole team. (works on both, left gate is easier)
assaults move up to the gate low in the trench.
one/two ECMs provide cover to the lemming train from within the trench.
reasonable fast mechs run up the ramp in double file (80+kph).
everyone shoots at the generator once, then falls off the ramp right in front of the gate.

done right the gate will open with the last two mechs, and the rush can start.
yes, a very good opposing team might be able to snipe off a single mech, though i have yet to see this.
usually everyone gets a fair but small amount of damage spread over the whole group.

the secret is to never - ever - stop moving on the ramp, to never - ever - shoot the turrets or enemies.

This map I enjoy as a Defender but can not understand how IS ERLLs suddenly got so much range. I am hitting at Gauss Rifle ranges and they are returning fire, really!?!?

C-Gauss Range: 660m (1,980 max)
ERLL Range: 675m (1,350 max)
-- source: smurfy

so either you are both within the 700m range, then yes, you will get return fire, or you are in the 700-1,350m range, then yes, you will get return fire, or you are beyond 1,400m, then you are wasting your ammo inefficiently (<0.5x normal)...

on the other hand, i have seen people aiming and shooting small lasers or even machine guns at targets a thousand meters away... *shrugs* (<- does no damage, in case that wasn't obvious)
((I mean by that, that you will get "return fire" from everywhere across the map. nothing to do with range))

The Battlemaster 1S has a 25% range increase on energy weapons. ERLL combined with the range module means they outrange you.
