Atlicutioner.
^Clicky da link^

Comes with a loadout very similar to a generic brawling Atlas. You got your UAC10 which you can double tap for a 20 damage ballistic, you have your 3 small pulse lasers to mimic your 2-4 medium lasers, and you have your dual SRM6 for that close range rocket punch.

Loadout is similar, but you end up moving much faster than an Atlas ever could and can turn like a boss, no need to worry about lights. Your right arm is your best thing to shield with due to only holding two small pulse lasers and it having a shield on it. First match with this loadout and I got 4 kills and survived with a missing side torso and a cherry red CT with no armor on the other torso or arm. Reminded me too much of my time with Atlas, for me to not share it.

Come on Atlas pilots, give me your thoughts.

Edit: oh and I forgot, the thing comes with jet packs too, and MASC.

Question, why the 2 extra heatsinks? Better off putting Artemis on, as a 12M CoF isn't very friendly.

And it comes with 17. You don't need 19 heatsinks for so few weapons.

To be honest it gets suprisingly hot in an extended brawl. At my ranges the srm spread doesn't seem to have much effect, brawls usually being around 100m or so. Depending on preference you could easily swap to either though.

With SRMs, you get max spread at 20M.

It's mainly parallel after that.

I was taking a look at the Atlas chassis compared to the Executioner. I was wondering why is it that the side torso with the AC always gets ripped off first with an Atlas, then I realized the Atlas' torso is about twice as wide as the Executioner's. Explains why I usually never lose the AC in it.

In general everything on the Atlas is wider, while you can have a good chance of missing the Executioner if you took a shot between the arm and torso the Atlas just doesn't allow such a thing, especially when it has the side torso weapons mounted.

Edit: Size comparison
Spoiler

That looks like the biggest waste of an Executioner...

Its suprising what things that seem like wastes can do.

Thats the best part honestly.

I run that build a lot, I usually tend to have terrible luck with the UAC jamming about every other shot, but it would do quite a bit more DPS than the Atlas build, though the original post was simply to show that the Executioner can be built nearly identical to an Atlas for those who run them.

Personally I don't like using ballistics on the Executioner, it takes up the valuable higher energy torso mounts. But the executioner is only good for two builds. Laser vomit or a large single ballistic with backup weapons. I have had no luck trying to use PPCs on the executioner because it runs too hot, but the high mounts are nice for it. This is my build that I have had the best luck with, I also like the two large pulse lasers with 6 ER small lasers. But I wish there was a way to remove or move around some of the fixed structure slots, MASC, or JJs so I could have an LB20 in the right torso, oh well.

That thing isnt slow, cumbersome, agile like a building or has bad hitbox. So why would an AS7 pilot would want to drive one?

I run a Gauss and ERPPC up high on one for some META in those META hardpoints. Its ground scraping arms are good for backup weapons. Small Lasers on this one for those lights that wanna try to sneak up behind this beast.

Once the Kodiak comes out, it will completely obsolete the Atlas in basically every way.

My thoughts; the Atlas should get buffed considerably.

True, although I would say the King Crab has already achieved this:
- More ballistics options
- High mounted energy and missile hardpoints that are nicely grouped
- Possibly better hit boxes
- Similar mobility.

The Atlas is, sadly, rather useless these days.

KGC has very different profile than the Atlas, while the Kodiak is much similar looking.

And then, one day, you'll find something like this or even this and realize that it's vastly superior in firepower AND range to that toy-ballistic-SRM build.

Played the first one for some time. You can get awesome kills at close range and still be viable long range.
