If there was even a HINT of what was to be included in the next phase of CW or that these nifty reworked maps were somehow going to tie into a different iteration from what we have seen so far, THEN I would be tempted to hand over some more cash to help allow them to develop it fully.
At present there is no "roadmap" for Community Warfare and unfortunately I am unwilling to blindly dump my hard earned cash into MWO any longer; Russ/PGI, tell us what your intentions/visions are for the game and that might change. I imagine i'm not the only one with that stance.
Maybe he heard you!

Hoping to have another town hall in early October - time to start talking more about Community Warfare.

Well they (PGI) have to keep the IS junk train rolling as they seem to lack the drive to have a balance with introductions of Mechs. How many more IS pieces of junk do you plan on introducing PGI? - Get off your backsides and put more effort back into the game *cough-cough* CW. Not every player is interested in the IS crap you (PGI) so love to favor.

Well it would not be so bad if the PGI bias people would actually get off their backsides and even up the IS -to- Clan mech introductions, but nope always stuck with IS junk.

I doubt that he would have read any of my posts but i'm sure he will be getting a vibe from sources close to him.
@ Bracchus.
As I said, it's great that they are bringing out these iconic 'Mechs and I appreciate they need a revenue stream but I just want to have an idea that there will be somewhere to use them in months (and hopefully years) to come before I put MORE money into the pot. I am not saying I will never put another penny into the game or that I am disgruntled with the development direction, I am simply choosing to wait for the moment before I open the bank vault again.
I WANT Russ and PGI to give me a reason to continue to support them.

Well in the september town hall russ already said he would be doing (or planned to do) an oktober town hall, so this announcement is not exactly a shock.
xX PUG Xx I feel your pain, i to have spend a lot of money on this game and my interest is waning, now i dont really regret spending that money it has given me hours and hours of fun (although i do wish the resistance mechs actually offered some resistance ya know), and i jumped in on the marauder package but will prob let this one slide, if only so i have something to buy with my cbills in 6+ months time because buying these packs does take away some of the excitement of a new mech and reasons to play/grind

Aff, however I would say mildly pointing out, or calmly stating, as most people on here have not been 'screaming'.
Also mechs and mechs aren't the only thing being brought up, i.e. MM, UI, balancing, etc. by all means, keep the mechs coming, but give us some updates (saw the Twitter update, cool!) on something like CW, or new gameplay features. Heck, as I said, I (and I know others) would pay to fund other features. Random last point, this release of the war hammer, while cool, feels too close to the marauder's release.

oh go kiss a surat, Clanboi. you guys have gotten just as much love as us, you have weapons we don't have, you have omnimechs, and you're currently running roughshod over us in CW, AND you have the IIC pack coming. i'm sure PGI REALLY cares what you think right now.
and to be extremely clear, as has been mentioned MULTIPLE TIMES in this forum, the Mech artists and modellers are DIFFERENT PEOPLE than the Map artists and Game mode people. Designing a mech is a hell of a lot easier to do quickly than make a map, and honestly at this point, they want to fix up the ones they already have to be up to par... and Russ literally just tweeted about wanting to do a town hall on CW within the next month or two.
so calm your **** and be patient. and lay off the coffee.

Granted, I'm not buying it, yet, and stated as such, because I want to see my flamers fixed before I spend any money (I have to stick to my convictions on this), but I still praised this move and release.
Also, I'll just say it again for good measure. Although they weren't my first picks for variants, they're still good choices that provide a great deal of variety in loadouts. I hope that as future packs are released, the solid and significantly different variants I posted, HERE are taken into consideration, as they provide some of the best variety across the chassis.
Now, hopefully this doesn't get removed, again, for reasons that are beyond me.

price is OK even if a bit soon after marauder release. ..
will consider buying in when the game gives me incentive to keep playing...you know? content, strategy, long term management, R&R....all sort of stuff other than playing deathball or Nascar....

That's the joke.
It's like complaining the Warhammer look awfully like the Hammerhand.
Or the Marauder look awfully like a Timber Wolf without ears.
