Girlfriend later said to me she deposited money into my account to buy the marauder as a gift since she knows I'm a Mech fan. And she doesn't know mechwarrior so she just bought the first thing she saw... which was the Warhammer. 80bucks AUD or there abouts. Very greatful for my gift. Although I wished she didn't waste her money on the collectors pack. Or the hero mech. That black widow. I know it's very iconic but it's not worth the money. The hard points are almost identical to the 6R variant. Oh wells.

When we started playing tabletop Battletech/Mechwarrior, the mech on the cover was a Warhammer.
It is THE mech that we saw every time we opened the box and sat down to play.
When we think of Battletech/Mechwarrior it is that image of the Warhammer on the cover that we think of.
Yes, a great deal is nostalgia and our time playing around a table with friends. For me, having that feeling again and each time I drop in a Warhammer is something that cannot have a price put upon it.
Set the way-back machine and here is something I found;
and now they know how 40+ old we are

Or you can logically think, "Hey there's no real game modes to play, so I'll pass this round " that's all I've done.
Russ has not mentioned any content in his roadmaps so from what we know there's absolutely no plans to add content to the game in the next few months. What's planned is more mechs, then a few more mechs, topped off with rewards for buying mechs. A map tweak and then more changes to the friggin mech select screen for the next few months.
It's cool to get new toys, but what good is a paintbrush without paint.
I think a lot of us are feeling the same way.

This is F'N ridiculous. 55 for the marauder and now I have to find more money for this. It is a little rough.
PLEASE.
$110 for 2 Battlemechs, yes sure you get other variants but I want you all to think about that. What do you get for around $110 with the Battletech game on KickStarter right now?

BUT I won't be going for this one, I've stumped up for every top tier 'Mech pack, every additional one off and numerous MC packages. At this point I can not justify pumping more cash into another pack to join the huge number of Mechs in my Mechbay, when there is simply little point in having them beyond the "hey I've got X number of 'Mechs".
Beyond the reworking of existing maps and the rebalance of existing systems there has been little addition to the actual game; no new game modes, no development of the "skill" tree and it appears Community Warfare has all but stagnated. Beyond a hint of things in November and December at the bottom of the October roadmap, there has been virtually zero communication as to what if anything will happen with the main reason I bought into this game in the first place.
For me, Community Warfare was meant to be a living breathing interpretation of the Battletech universe. Somewhere we could go to have a reason to actually pilot our walking war avatars beyond "pew pew dakka dakka", rinse and repeat. An overarching gamemode with tactics, choices, consequences and purpose that, upto now has fell far short.
Please don't misunderstand me here, I fully appreciate the level of work that has gone into the game until now, I enjoy the 'Mech combat 85% of the time (even though there are still those WTF? moments). However as it stands, MWO is shallow and unfulfilling and if it were not for the friends I have made while playing I would have given up on it long ago and certainly wouldn't spend a large portion of my free time and money on it.
So for now and for the first time in over three years, I will be saying "no more cash from me PGI". I will wait and see what the next couple of months brings and take it from there, I sincerely hope you give me a reason to want to continue putting money into your product but another 'Mech pack is not that reason.

I was on board for wave 3, cancelled that order due to lack of content. Then I was psyched for marauder and read roadmaps and my heart sank, where's the epic battlefield that is dynamic with changing weather and tactics, where's the radar interfering sandstorm on tourmaline? Large scale city map for CW where someone turns a corner and is looking right down your top mounted gauss barrel

But before you go, please explain how they are supposed pay salaries etc if they don't sell things?
Maths iz harrd.
I don't think any of us are arguing that the people who work for PGI shouldn't get paid... We just expect something a little more in return than a few Battlemechs thrown at us here and there. If I spend the same amount of $ on the new Battletech KS game I get a full single player experience steeped in Battletech lore, possibly this will extend to the open ended options and even PVP matches, and an awesome jacket with a bunch of stuff. I might even qualify for the Mercenary Mechwarrior package! Now compare that to what we have been given in MWO.
Sorry PGI, but I think I'll be giving my hard earned $ to a team that really seems to want/deserve it.

Dear PGI,
How many have to express this for you to understand? How many of us will go to the new KS Battletech game and abandon MWO (thus stop paying you) for you to understand? How many times do we have to give you different ideas, with detailed explanations about what we want from a Mechwarrior game?
This is a very simple concept: We want a better & full game for the $ we give you. Extra trinkets and baubles are nice, but they should only be meant as something to give back to your patrons as a thank you. All we really want from you is a true Mechwarrior experience, and I hope you truly build off of your tutorial to do that.

However, the moment I see a HatchetMan, AxMan, Hatamoto-Chi, or a Pillager with working hand-mounted Pile Bunkers, you can have a fair chunk of my money.

I believe alot of us are blinded by the awesome mechs they produced. Yes they are done REALLY well and it brings back the old days. I agree to some of us who do the care and want the mechs.
But your post is exactly how I feel. I never try to rant on forums. But. I've reached the limit of patience. You know one big thing PGI can also do. Utilize their forums more. We give feedback. We ask questions. Even the MOST SIMPLE question and alot of us do not get no answer. All we get is bit of banter on twitter. May as well kill this website and get everyone to use twitter.
I stand by the ppl and the community who want this game to be GREAT and survive the ONSLAUGHT of AWESOME new GAMES coming out.
I stand by with any of you who want MORE CONTENT WHICH WILL ULTIMATELY MAKE ME BUY MORE MECHS. No content. No more mech purchases.
For those of you that don't care and look at us and go Meh ...then that's cool. We all have our opinions and needs and wants.

A really quick solution to this would be the addition of a weight-class based Solaris Arena gamemode. Everyone has been asking for it and it doesn't exactly require a great deal of texture/map work or anything, just some codes.

Gimmi more Lazors boats PGI !
Let's set the map cycling to 50% Terra Therma and the Lazor boating will reduce automatically.
