I'm a fan of chicago style deep dish with pepperoni, mushrooms and black olives, myself. Or good old Straw Hat sourdough crust pizza.... but if you aren't from the east bay area you probably never heard about it.

Of course I can eat anything from Domino's to CiCis to Papa Johns to Pizzeria Uno to a slice on the street in NYC. But short of starvation, I draw the line at Little Caesars. I'd rather buy frozen at that point.

But I'd rather focus on the pizza I do like than rant about not liking the pizza you like. Unless you were making a point to force your opinion that your choice of pizza was the only right choice, in which case I may feel the need to argue.

The real question... which type of Pizza is Meta?

Well the safest bet would be strip all the toppings off of the pizza and just have cheese pizza. That way it doesn't offend anyone, and everyone can eat it. However, cheese pizza, while a safe bet, is boring.

So if we choose to add toppings, then you will always have a vocal minority that absolutely hates that topping and will complain. That's not factoring in if things are done to the pizza itself by the chefs, like stuffed crust, thin crust, alternate sauce in their efforts to balance out the flavor of the pizza by input of a select few customers for the rest of the people.

We then, of course, could take spreadsheet data of the population to see what pizza topping combinations are used the most to come to the conclusion of what is considered metapizza, and perhaps suggest that pepperoni is constantly used.

Now here's the thing... we need to ask why pepperoni is used more than the other toppings, and then determine our end goal. If the answer is "Well pepperoni just taste really well with the pizza" should the chefs make the pepperoni taste WORSE so that customers stop using it... or should the chefs make the other toppings better and more appealing?

Pepperoni Vomit IS an issue. And you see how the Comp Pizzas sneer when you mention pineapple?

Need underwater maps for intense maritime crustacean activity. Accept no substitutes.

EDIT: Unlike MWO, Pizza is relatively balanced with all pizzas being commonly regarded as viable, and brand being determining factor of viability. Topping is purely preference, except for outliers like chocolate and other ingredients that never should have been introduced in the first place.

In short, all pizza is good pizza. Some are better than others, but all are viable.

The pizzeria one block from me produces Meta. But, I still miss this place after all these years. The owner was a fantastic person.

There was also this place in Tehran. When the owner found out it was my last night there, everything was on the house!

Well it could be argued that pineapple+ham was a "flavor of the month" specialty pizza that everyone jumped on the bandwagon with and abused to the point that the chef's realized they wouldn't sell any other kind of pizza, so in making the ham and pineapple worse, it impacted the flavor of other pizzas forcing them to play it safe and go with pepperoni instead.

If chefs keep making the toppings worse, then people will stop using them of course, but then people will get sick of seeing pepperoni and wish they could use other toppings. However, if chefs keep advertising new pizzas to buy, but don't change the quality of the toppings and just keep going off of the data of what people like to buy, instead of understanding the reason as to why they buy it... then chances are pepperoni would be made to taste worse with the hopes that customers will be happy. Eventually, only the people who are happy with the looks of the pizza will be left, as people who enjoy taste will find another place to eat.

Urgh!

You've obviously not tasted pure Meta in Tehran! It's da bomb! That my last meal was free did not hurt either.

Of course, by this point, people might not remember what "good" tastes like, and new generations might not know any other flavor, and thus just stay in an endless cycle of pepperoni vomit, under the assumption that it is the only way that can be good.

If we get an underwater map, or a map that allows the tallest mechs to be fully submerged, I'll be expecting a working SONAR on our mech when it's fully under.

BTW, I'm still waiting for somebody to post a pizza with high hardpoints toppings.
