So, anyone remember the days when PGI used to give lore stories for any upcoming mechs?

Kinda nostalgic. Wish they would do that again, especially with all their new mech releases as of recent.

Tina has stated that the website is undergoing an update that will fix all the outdated things I mentioned in my thread. This raises a good point and I hope they put lore back in as well.

I usually bypass td:lr posts, but the mech intros were very interesting, and entertaining.

I'd like to think those stopped because with every one of these they'd get pages upon pages of people bitching about the typos or how these didn't stack up to the novels, etc, etc...
Too bad, I enjoyed them.

That is a sad way to end it like that. The immersion factor was there, and it also - indirectly - told about the mech's general stock loadout and style according to lore. Awesomes with its 3ppcs, Catapults and their missiles instead of the mix-match we have nowadays.

Any and all lore they'd put into the website and game would be utterly incredible and greatly appreciated.
It'd be great if people could also get little info buttons in the store (or a new lore section of the Home Screen) to have a paragraph about the mech and its lore, so people understand why certain mechs have hardpoints/quirks that they have and how the mech should feel in gameplay.
When and where was that said? I'd love to be able to actually read that statement officially.

When she says she's going to fix the outdated things, I'm sure that just means that all the old stuff will be discarded instead of bringing the new stuff up to scratch, though.

I thought CGL's Randall Bills was writing the lore pieces. Or was he just writing the Inner Sphere News bits?
