Timbers are good, pretty much everything you could ask for in meta tryhard. Stormcrows are also good. My question however, is why? Love your tier man.

I think one of the Thunderbolts have LPL quirks?

You can slap on 3 along with Jump Jets and a STD and have fun with it, as it also comes with LT/RT +15 Armor/Structure.

In that case, try a dragon 1n. It's fun if you can keep your arm from being blown off.

It is heavily dependent on what you find fun. Personally, I like zooming around in light mechs.

Seeing as LPLs are too heavy for lights (generally), I'll look at mediums:

SHD-2K This doesn't have the alpha striking ability of say, a stormcrow, but can jump and shoot with very low exposure.

Fun and top tier meta mechs should not be used in the same sentence.

This is like asking which hammer is more fun to drive roofing nails....

Meta mechs do one job... They provide optimum win opportunity.

If you're bored with meta, why ask for suggestions to buy more meta? A real test of pilot skill is taking something bad and doing great with it. If you're bored, buy a Cataphract, Grasshopper, Mad Dog, Hunchback or Trebuche . Put a load out on one and go to work.

You can't come in here and brag to vets about being tier 1 because you play the same optimized easy mode meta mech every match and win.

If you shoot down everyones suggestions and trash talk other chassis types because you think they are inferior; It just sounds like you just started this thread to stroke your own ego.

You'll get no respect from other pilots if you can't get in other chassis types and succeed in them.

Why is the maddog in that list?

Torso twists like a boss, large side torsos means a gigantic shield when your side torso is gone, half damage to center torso.

Can fit an enormous amount of SRMS and a variety of different fits both ballistic and lasers, and to top it all off its only 60 tons allowing you to drop 3 heavies (or 4 heavies) in CW.

Bad? Hardly.

How about a Raven 3L with narc, tag, 2mpl, beagel, and all the modules for scouting. Then try and do good. It never gets boring. ;-)

If you want to play something "fresh": try out some overquirked mechs. Though not everyone is considered as "high tier"

Thunderbolt 9S for some MPL action. You cant go wrong with 7 medium pulse laser that have a pretty good range (around 350m I think?) and no real heat to speak off. Also, this thing tanks like a king. One of the best mechs in pug queue as it is extremely easy to play and can easily take on a Timberwolf inside the range of around 400m.

If you like LPLs, the Arrow (Blackjack) could be a joy to drop with. Though, I wouldn't call it overquirked. I drop with 3 LPL and do fairly well with it. Sadly its a hero so you have to pay for it with some MC.

Want a heavy with the same amount of firepower as an assault? The Dragon-1N could be your thing. It's a glass cannon and you lose your right arm faster than you can say "oh sh!t" in higher tier matches if you are not careful. But having 2 AC/5 with 62% faster fire rate is pretty terrific.

The Locust 1E ist also pretty darn good. I know, I know. The Locust? But look at those quirks. It's a beast with 6 medium laser. Low burn duration, good range and freakin 170 km/h. Slower than the commando but still faster than everyone else. I love that little bugger and would take it over the cheetah or the firestarter anyday.

As the last pick: Hunchback-4J. LRMs are bad but if the stars align and you get your lock on a target in the open, look at him desperately searching for cover as he gets missiled to death as if Zeus himself calls judgement on his enemies.
