This word was used to describe (the fairly unusual and funny) times when everyone would go around the caldera of caustic valley multiple times in a counterclockwise fashion. (Like Nascar)

In the last couple months people have tried to apply the word every time anyone goes anywhere other than straight at the bulk of the OpFor. (NOT like Nascar)

Please stop. It is annoying.

It's been used to describe anytime both teams go in a counter clockwise circle around any map. Some just lend themselves to it more than others.

I use it anytime the team moves in a circular motion to avoid taking fire....

Whether they're circling the caldera on caustic.... or just running around a rock or tree to avoid having to stop an enemy push....

I don't care if the circle you're drawing on the battle grid has a 5 gird radius or .3 grid radius.....

Running away in a circle around an object(s) is running away in a circle around an object(s)...

and that's called nascaring

The tactic does often work though.. it's a constant flank.

Nice video, but it upsets me greatly that such talent is used on this kind of comedy instead of actual badass Battletech animations :(

Plexi does his animations for Satire of problems in-game and more.

If you want here's a more serious one with a bit of satire:

I agree with OP. I've seen quite a few games where any large scale movement by our entire team is immediately labeled "NASCAR OMG" by the people who weren't paying attention to their minimap and got over run by the enemy.

If both teams did nothing but ram each other all game, one of them would win doing it.

So ramming is a good tactic now?

Come on.

That's b/c "large scale movement" that's really just a fancy way for you to disguise "large scale team running away from enemies" is nascar.

The people saying "OMG NASCAR" are actually the ones that ARE watching the mini map... b/c they're watching you run away from the enemy.

How can you make such a statement as if it were always true?

Sometimes the team takes off moving when it shouldn't; In this game, people often make mistakes.

But I've also seen games, as described, where movement is necessary. If you can't just blindly run in a circle, then you can't blindly sit in a valley.
