Psr Fun Test

Was at Tier 4, matches were very fun: no stomps, no only high alpha laser vomit or dakka DWF builds, no same strategies ever and ever. After some matches .... Tier 3.... WTF?!?! It's an hell, "unplayable" unless I use high skilled mechs, modules.
I think that Tier 3 is worst than Tier 2.
I suggest PGI to try a +1/-1 PSR range in SOLO queue.

the longer the wait them the worser the match
short wait times as always = good match.
i wish there would be an option to insert a MM range you wan't to play:
And the MM don't override this range:
Want to find a game fast - range = 4
want a fair game (you might think something like this exist) - range 0
including - wait for ready; don't wait for ready
anyhow i would set my setting on range 4 and don't wait for ready -even when it means to face T1 and starting half a minute to late

Every game half the people in the game do less than 150 damage and we get stomped.
PGI makes win/lose mean to much therefore so many people fall through and rank up even when not even knowing what is going on.

wrong order = wrong implication
you get stomped - thats why there are some that did less than 150 dmg.
the question is why did you get stomped

Maulers are Tier 1 and so are Tbolts. 1/2 the people in the last tourney did it with maulers. Yeagers are not that good anymore but they have their place as well as hunchies, which have amazing quirks.

If those players indeed suck and was only carried by their teams in Solo-Q, then they will fall back to their previous tier soon enough. One simply cannot advance to T1-2 without knowing what's going on, unless he group-queues with a good pre-made team all the time.

because people cant do damage?

even if u do 100 damage and win ur psr will still go up
i have had 500 dmg games and lost and it stays equal, win means A LOT

imho dmg is the worst possible key indicator for a players performance, because to deal damage you have to be alive.
but it is obvious that some one have to be the first in the breach - usually those don't deal much damage.
Well afaik - damage taken is somehow also calculated - necessary for the hit & run bonus.
So for the MS - damage dealt and damage taken should be the same.

Perhaps because you have, with +2/-2, Tier 4 men in team?
I think also that in the algorithm there is still, as Elo time, a variable to maintain Win/Loss ratio at 1.00. In the other account I have got 2 BJs with c-bills.... after 20 matches, with each, the W/L is 1.00

In this kind of game staying alive is an entiere skill.. and yep you stay alive for deal damage.
Staying alive don't mean stay behind teamate.. maybe for bad players yes it mean that.
For staying alive and deal dommage you can flank ennemy team, been creative when you move, or simply wait the good timing, sometime embush people which where hunting you, inf act doing safe move... staying alive without moving when your team is fighting is ... stupid of course
Taking damage dommage for team is of course very important ( if you move with team ) and is a part of victory but say damage is the worst possible key indicator i cant agree specially with people who don't drive lights ecm snipers all damage they do count even they don't take one hit coze they use ground for theirs oawn advantage.
But yea a good teamplayer deal damage and share damage ( thing most of people, which didn't understand how this game works, doesn't < < < worst they are afraid to take a scratch to their paint before all theirs teamates are dead > > > bad lrms boats player for best example )

Even with ELO it was same ... i canceled lots of game because too many waiting seem to mean bad teamates ^^ and it worked..

Yeah I cancel the search button after a few minutes. If it hasn't found a match by then it starts to troll me.
My favorite is when you hit cancel and it just gets stuck "cancelling" and then connects you to a match within 10 seconds.

Did you play ~100 matches with each tier or did you fall for the common mistake of taking a tiny sample size to be representative?
I strongly suspect the latter.

Having a myoptic view and just looking at 1-2 games where a scrub gets carried says nothing about his W/L over time. The actual trend is likely he is going to land on the losing side if he keeps up doing scrub 100dmg all the time.
Why would anyone think they should go up PSR with only 500 dam and a loss. 500 dmg is like average.
