Don't you wish you could view what your teammates are bringing during a match? I don't understand why we can't scan teammates weapon loadouts but we automatically detect enemy mech loadouts.

I mean I'd really like to know if the Atlas next to me is actually going to be useful or if they are only pretending to push with me so they can use me for cover while they launch their LRMs.

Anyone else want a "target friendly mech under reticle" feature that will give you some useful information like how damaged they are or what weapons they have?

i think the targeting controls in this game need a bit of work. i miss being able to cycle targets to check the status of friendly units and any detected hostiles. at least allow us to r friendlies or hover a little htal status + loadout over their mechs when you press q.

I can agree to seeing what friendly mechs are bringing because if I am an AC20 hunchy I want to know that the Atlas I am following is not setup for lrms because then following the Atlas will prevent me from getting into range.

Drop into a pug match in my Timberwolf, see a Direwhale about to engage the enemy, roll up beside him to push together and... I see... Machine guns firing from his torso... So It's really just me on that hill standing next to fat useless potato... The baddies know this because they can see our load outs and they focus me down then farm him.

If I could see his load out I would be like "Nope..."

YES! Something like adding (2Gauss 4ML) under the player's name when pressing Q would help A LOT.

Yes, please.

I'd love to know the loadout and real status in the form of paper doll. A percentage doesn't really tell us if a friendly is battle worthy. 80% status may be damage spread over all the locations of a mech or a cherry red CT that is going boom after a SLas shot.

That's funny, but he must have had other weapons. Surely no one would roll out a pure MG Timber....would they? But then again... Maybe that was the only weapon he could figure out how to fire?

This is the reason why it SHOULDN'T be viewable. You would have people raging at each other even before they die a useless death. And that does no one any good.

Yes, we need a mapable option to Target Object (i.e. object/mech under reticle)...and have its info show up in the upper right corner of the HUD (including loadout and health). If nothing is under the reticle it should just target the closest object.

To see your teammates load out - Zoom in on them and press the " \ " key.

Maybe you deserve to get raged at a little bit if you are bringing absolutely trash builds and helping your team lose? If you bring a DWF with 10 flamers as your entire armament, maybe your team has a legitimate reason to be unhappy with you.

It would be huge to be able to check teammates builds during in the pregame lobby so we can discuss/guess at the strategy that will be implemented.

Press U to cycle friendly targets

Shows info such as:
Equipped modules, and consumables (and if they've used those consumables)
Weapons load out
Paperdoll (plus, which lance and square they're in)

Also include this functionality in the battlegrid, allowing ability to select mechs on the field to view their name, paperdoll state, and weapons loadout.
