All shooters these days have a scoreboard on the hud listing who killed who and with what weapon. for most shooters this is perfectly fine nothing is broken. lots of people die in a short amount of time in games like battlefield 3. so the killers name their gun and the defeated opponents name is all the information you need. in mwo people are going to take allot of damage from several people. the scoreboard should list all the people who participated in the kill not just the guy who got the well timed killing blow.
So instead of something like this coming up on your screen every time someone gets killed.
blue team player1 [LBX20] red team player1
This would come up listing all the players involved in order of how much damage they have done.
blue team player1 [LBX20] red team player1
blue team player2 [SRM15]
blue team player3 [LRM20]
As far as i know listing all the people who assisted on the kill like this on the HUD has never been done in a fps before.
credit for the kill

The less clutter the better, I already don't like having exp gained from destorying components popping up and blocking my view whenever that happens. In fact the only thing that should be displayed to you should be a red X like in hawken to let you know something died. Thats a good feature in my opinion.

The game should be ranking by damage done not kills, And damage should be scaled by the tonnage , as in a light tearing up a heavy gets a damage bonus
