Running in DX11 using the 64bit launcher.

Check the pics out I hope you like them, Any enhancements you think could be made please give me suggestions and I will make the tweaks and update this post regularly.

https://sfx.thelazy....es/preset/4512/

Procedure for installing Sweetfx 2.0

1) Download Sweetfx 2.0 from http://reshade.me/ and scroll down till you see alternative standalone packages click on the green Icon "SweetFX 2.0"

2) Extract the Zip/Rar and click on "Reshade Setup" a white box should appear with select game and then it will prompt you to locate the launcher. My launcher location is C:\Program Files (x86)\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\Bin64 and click on the MWO Client.exe

3) It will say auto detection failed but you will have a choice of direct 3d 9 and direct3d 10/11 depending on what you are using select the correct one and it will install the files you need to C:\Program Files (x86)\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\Bin64.

4) Locate the sweetfx folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Piranha Games\MechWarrior Online\Bin64 and find Sweetfx_Settings text document and download my preset from https://sfx.thelazy....es/preset/4512/ and rename it to SweetFX_Settings and then drop it into the SweetFX folder and copy over the current text document that is in there.

Then you can play around with the SweetFX_Settings whilst in game change 0's to 1's and tweak the advanced settings and it will change whilst you are playing after you save SweetFX_Settings, And the button to turn the effects on and off to see the difference is scroll lock.

If you really mess up delete these texts/dll/folders if the game wont run or SweetFX does not work.

Dxgi Text document
Dxgi.dll
SweetFX File Folder
Reshade.fx
SweetFX.fx

And try again.

Suggestions - will be updated

I suggest you turn off Smaa and use something else for anti aliasing by changing that line with the 0 instead of 1
#define USE_SMAA 0 //[0 or 1] by changing that settings because its a fps killer.

and try some HDR I personally like it but I will see if it visually effects me in the long run as I brawl and don't snipe by changing this below

#define USE_HDR to 1 instead of 0.

Sorry if it isn't clear I'm really bad at explaining through typing and my grammar is shocking but that's what I get for not taking school seriously. :P

Any concerns read this forum post you will not feel the wrath of the ban hammer for using this.

Updates

09/10/2015

Changed the HDR settings so its less brighter but I will keep it off by default and I have updated the first screenshot comparison. Just change these lines #define HDRPower 1.15 #define radius2 0.80 to this in SweetFX_Settings or redownload my settings.

And updated the sharpening settings to #define sharp_strength 0.55 and #define sharp_clamp 0.035 not a big visual difference

What is this? What does it do? Why should I click on your hyperlinks and not wave down a moderator?

I could be wrong, and I most certainly am, but wasnt SweetFX considered by PGI a 3rd party program that gave players an unfair advantage?

SweetFX was specifically cleared as OK during the last ban wave.

Oh?
I might actually use it then, i wonder if it can improve depth of field and AA, because in MWO, they're pretty trash.

Thx, so basically all it does is Sharpness/Contast/Saturation and AA related?

Yes, SweetFX is not ban-able.

Yeah pretty much you can also add like HDR/Bloom and loads of other effects, But I'm still learning myself a lot of stuff you can tweak. Even that re shade framework is pretty nuts.

OH nice, now you got my attention. Anything that can bring us back to closed beta graphics is good. They had much more bloom and HDR, also lens flares!

Perhaps it would be good to have a newb-friendly explaination how to actually install this.

Yes it hurts FPS but you can turn off SMAA to make it less taxing

They do inject code/change gamefiles.

I never like that if a program does that. Especally if multiplayer is involved. Cleared or not; i dont want to risk it.

I can understand that bud, I'll take the risk untill a moderator/developer tells me otherwise.

Whats the difference between this and the regular sweetfx that has been available since CB days? what is sweetfx 2.0, just normal sweet fx with your own custom settings?

It's just the latest sweetfx by CeeJay.dk and ReShade 1.0.0 by Crosire, Props to them for making such an awesome tool.

Aside from just a saturation or vibrancy increase, I cannot see what else is different.
If there's other settings, they're extremely subtle.

Ok. But is there any new features or any differences as far as MWO is concerned compared to the old classic sweetfx thread that was on here?
