Just saying hi, seeing as i just started really playing a few days ago, registered awhile back and D/L the game but not started playing until now.

feel like an idiot bought 12,000MC just before the new update so missed out on the mech rewards,
I mean i missed out of the mech by about 20 mins, kicks self.

Question is there any way to see whats coming up before doing the same thing again. do they post these things well in advance of the sale or do they just do them a few days before they go live.

Anyway just thought i would pop in and say hello from a new player,

Contact Customer Service and if anything can be done. It's possible the answer will be no, but that's what is happening now if you don't ask. :)

Welcome to MWO.

I've had a similar experience with another game by another company, got myself a 10 dollar premium revolver permanent unlock for my two accounts and my friend. So 30 bucks. Then a sale came up less than 20 minutes later reducing it to 2.50. Which would have been 7.50. I shrugged my shoulders and ate the loss.

Usually no. But new NC sales get posted -- if happening -- every Tuesday and Friday. They tend to last the weekend.

Try one of these two support addresses to see if you might be able to slip onto things. Every new player gets a single "Fix ~almost~ anything" card:

Yeah, what he said. ^^^

Keep an eye on the landing page at mwomercs.com. And scroll down a few articles, too. For instance, there's a special going on that runs through some time in November, so the announcement might get scrolled down a bit. But most specials (MC sales, XP conversion specials, etc.) run for a long weekend (Friday-Tuesday, give or take).

And you may as well ask the accounts and/or billing folks if they can help out. Worst they can do is say 'NO', but they'll at least be pretty cool about it. I've had nothing but A+ experiences with them over the last three years.

Things like the reward program get announced well in advance (we had the announcement up since september 11th, so almost a full month in advance.)

Any other announcements, like sales and such are usually made a few days before the thing starts, and the thing itself will last several days.

OP dont shrug it off, if you missed the rewards by mere minutes, then email these guys let them know and ask nciely if you can get the rewards injected too, the answer will likely be Yes, though i don't guarantee it.

Here is the time stamp, Timestamp: 2015-10-06 16:37:42 UTC, as you can see from the time was about 23 mins to early lol, anyway will teach me to look before buying in future, as i said before thanks for the reply;s guys,

But i don't think the game is for me, after playing for a while am finding its just a bambi shooting exercise especially in CW. plus the game feels so clunky and unfinished, to many faults to even try to get past them which is a shame , game has/had so much potential. But as a long time investment ,nope.

good luck to the Devs and the ppl playing

The early game for a new player is....jagged to say the least. It has a steep learning curve. Let me tell you as someone who has played the game for 3 years or so, the game is actually pretty good right now. The new tutorial is implimented (and pretty decent too), Clan Warfare is about to see its next iteration (seriously do not go into CW without your own mechs that you have elited, thats just asking to waste your time), and The Querkening is going to be happening pretty soon, so a lot of mechs are going to be changing.

Also, since you do have some MC, I recommend getting yourself some mech mastery packs. Not only do you get premium time, but you also get a full set of 3 mechs to work towards eliting the skills on mechs. As a LONG time veteran of the game and the series, let me tell you that running trial mechs utterly sucks, and piloting fresh mechs without skills from basic/elite also sucks. But eliting a mech drasticly improves the mechs performance. Give the game some more time, its not that huge of a timesink (it doesnt require a massive amount of time or a subscription like MMO's) and you can play a couple games and get right off.

Mech warrior online is more methodical compared to most shooters out nowadays and it takes somce getting use to (trust me, this game use to be much more of a pain in the ass a year ago, even moreso 2 years ago). They are working on a single player campaign, more features are coming. it gets better, its just the early player experience is a little painful compared to most games.

It's a LOT painful. But a mastery pack helps a lot. I endors that suggestion wholeheartedly.

I'll third the mastery packs - even as a long-time veteran, when I finally decided to work on Cicadas, the mastery pack made the entire process far less of a chore (and let me preserve my store of CBills for mods rather than buying mechs). They're a fantastic deal, relative to just about any other mech set you can buy, and give you a nice leg up on building out your own stable.
