If people have more c-bills, won't they spend more MC on mechbays (because they want to buy mechs) and then also patterns (mc), and then more MC on hero versions on this mechs. So why make it so hard to earn a lot of c-billls? This way people just play the mechs they have and don't bother getting a hero for example as they don't have the c-bills to buy the other two to elite them. Is PGI actually having people spend more MC by reducing the c-bills or not? I don't know. They have the stats. It will also generate more people to play the game instead of hearing how hard it is to earn c-bills.
The average C-bills per game for the majority before the increase in c-bills is 70,000 c-bills. My personal average and what everyone gets and aims for gets 100,000 c-bills which makes it easy with math.
10 games for 1,000,000 c-bills. 20 games and you get a single 20 to 30 ton mech.
100 games is enough to get some clan heavies or buy and upgrade your fave IS assault.
140 games is approximately enough to get a direwolf.
Each game at average is between 5 to 10 minutes, let's go with 10 as some games drag on and it's a guestimated average.
to get an IS assault and stuff, is approximately 1,000 minutes. 17 hours
2 days with 'no life' heavy playing
4 days if you got a job/ school/ responsibilities/ intend to see day light.
1 week if you got a life
2 weeks if you are a casual with skill
1 month if you do not care and rarely play.
To get an assault, that is probably the same as all locusts as well btw.
with premium time that's...
2 days with heavy play
3 days if you got a job/ school/ etc
5-ish days of heavy play and socialising
10 days if you are a casual with skill, etc.
premium mech?
1 day with heavy play (ish)
2 days if you got duties
4 days if you got a life
1 week if you are a casual with to much money
2 weeks for a rich person who pays more in dollars then he has played.
I think the C-bill 'grind' is decent. Considering it's the only thing to aim for in this game besides EXP. I think the rate is suitable,
it's hard to earn c-bills if you keep buying the first engine you can for a mech.
"okay I got a stalker and I want it to get X weapons... my first engine will be Standard 100!...."
-later-
"I will go buy an XL 170!"
-later-
"okay, I got more c-bills, time for Standard 225!"
-later-
etc until he actually gets an engine that he needed after like 10 million c-bills is spent on engines alone on 1 mech... which is a newbie mistake quite often.
If you can get all mechs in 2 months because of easy c-bills nad such I do not think there would be a need to even spend much money outside of mechbays as well as the fact that a lot of people will use consumables more often and also the sense of progress dwindled... getting 30 mechs before mastering one.
