A long time ago, a presentation was made explaining that nearly all of our drops would count towards CW. When it dropped of course we got the flawed mode that we have now. If we could incorporate standard matches into the system you would have what amounts to fighting and defending territory on that world up until a base is able to be attacked. You could also add mission based objectives into these standard games. Conquest however makes little sense in a what is a grand campaign mode. What I would like to see is:

1. Standard 12 on 12 faction vs. faction drops counting towards 1 tick.
2. Standard 12 on 12 CW drops counting towards 2 or 3 ticks.
3. 4 on 4 scouting matches to determine initiative on each planet.
4. Planets to be assigned as cold, temperate, or hot. Cold planets would not see hot maps. Hot planets would not see cold maps. Temperate could get all 3 but weighted towards temperate climates.
5. A small lore based description on each planet.
6. Very small bonuses for controlling key planets or districts. These should NOT be MC as suggested but perhaps very small discounts on items or mechs.

CW fixed right here.

I would like to see minor planets contested with normal drops on normal maps with regular match rewards plus CW points leaving More important planets to be contested under the current system but with even better C-bill and CW point awards. Further you could have several minor planet conquest linked to unlocking a major planet battle. Depending on how well the attacking side did on their regular battle drops they might be a bonus to their drop deck tonnage or some other benefits.

I agree CW needs more.

I don't think #2 should count for 2/3 grids, I think 1 is fine. Awarding more sectors just opens up the chance for a 12man to turn a planet in the last hour.

For #6, I would suggest something like Cbill earning bonuses on certain mechs based on the planet. Lets say world X is where the Cataphracts are made, so fighting in a CTF there, you have drastically reduced repair costs which translate into an earning bonus at the end. Call it a bonus +15% earning. So if I have premium time, and I drop in my Ilya, I'm at 30%/30%/15% (75% total earning bonus).

While world X offers the CTF bonus, there are certain minerals useful in fabricating Nova parts and some of the equipment at the captured CTF factory can be retooled, so if the clans take this world, they get the bonus for Nova's.

We would need the ability to use scouting missions to open and close attack lanes of our factions chosing. Cw is particularly stale due to how linear is it. It's supposed to be all out warfare, but the restricted attack lanes make it very tidy an organized.
