Bad Players... Really......

you said I quote!
"a sign of a truly bad player
he dies alone way in the back, without having done any damage really, outnumbered 10 to 1
lastly, he complains how bad the team was"
He died in the back... vs 10 players..... so where is the front? Is the front, the front of a single file line of other players all running around in a big circle chasing the back of the team... and no way your assaults can keep up with the front line. So your assault turns around to face the 10 players cause he has no backup and can't keep up with his team and does low damage cause it's 10 players vs him. So your calling him a bad player? When the bad players are the ones in the front chasing the rear end of the enemy team, you left your assault or assaults behind when the front line was exactly where he was. Just cause your chasing 2 lights with the majority of your team doesn't mean it's the front line. I read the rest of your quotes and they were all ******** replies too. Maybe you should think about who the bad player is.
-If your alive and I'm dead does that make you a better player? No, most likely you just didn't get in the same action as I did but people sure think it's a good way to determine who is a better player,
-Damage means crap you could be just following around your teammates letting them soak up all the damage and your just alphaing non stop as your teammates are twising spreading damage not able to do direct fire having to spread the damage. We should reward some money to people who are below 50% health and survive the match at least means they got in the action.
There are many more bull crap Bad player comparisons but I have to get going for turkey dinner. Thanks.

- The right people in the right thread cares about you
- We don't get tons of pieces of "threads" that spam the General Discussions page that we have to connect by ourselves
- The people that thought they were walking in to a new thread don't go "wtf is this?"
- The person starting a new thread about something minor reacting to another thread don't look like ass.

Well, the OP WOULD have posted on the original thread in question, but couldn't determine where the Front of that Thread was, so decided to stand in the back and lob new threads. At least, that is the best I can figure.

Look at how players like Twinky play. A few times the team does go into a bad position and as a result he's left by himself, but that hardly happens to him because he constantly pay attention to the map and positioning himself in ways where he'll be at the front of the team's best firing line - exactly where he needs to be.

"balance"
The most heavily armor and supposedly most heavily armed mechs need the most babysitting...
Makes perfect sense. -.-
which is why heavy armor has light armor and infantry support. Heavy Naval ships have light naval support....
Yup, make perfect sense.

What are the lights supposed to do about the wave of equally or heavier armed enemies crashing down on lonely assaults, not run ahead and detect, delay, or kill said heavier armed opponents before they come crashing?

Showing up on time ready to go is over half the battle in any human venture (the one thing Dad said that was true)

And here we are playing the MWO that uses that philosophy
And it's terrible.
And everyone knows it but refuses to admit that's why.

I dunno if this is 'name and shame', but it would look better if he actually showed us the quoted text from the original thread.

Everybody hits Launch, then wanders off to get drinks, let out the dog, etc.

You understand that was the point I was trying to make. If you do not have your finger on the go button the second you can move, you are letting your team down. Especially if you are in a slow mech. If you want to enjoy private life keep i that way.

Yes. We get it. You want it dumbed down to Cal of Mechs. Because you can't comprehend the balance tradeoffs.

I think his point was he doesn't like relying on his team for protection, since they just run off and leave him.

I mean, I have encountered such as OP describes, not really with him or the other mentioned. 1-3 Lights show up, half the team chases. Usually I say sommething in VOIP. Same about people not leaving the Assaults. Even then it does not always work.
As for LRMs, I still stand against the MWO LRM boat, 4-6 LRMs on a Mech with little else is painting a big target on yourself, yeah I even tried it, never again. I find the TT LRM boat does much better even in MWO despite differences. I also believe they should reduce LRM range to TT range as they once did with ACs, LRMs should go down to 840 meters.
I should also mention there are bad Assault pilots who, for unknown reasons, go off solo even if you tell them not to.
Still will not stop all those bad folk who sit back and shoot LRMs beyond range yet never learn because they cannot see their LRMs exploding harmlessly in the air before reaching the target.

Nope, a LOT of people know the philosophy is sound excepting a small number such as yourself.

My point is, Juggernauts always need escorts. If they had all that power and no Achilles heel, no one would play anything else. Game balance or IRL, it is what it is.
